La Villa Tautira is a beautiful place! The description is very accurate…where the mountains meet the sea. The property was great for our family of 5 with ample space and great amenities! We loved the covered patio at the house since we were there during rainy season - we bought a couple puzzles and did them while it poured rain! The kitchen had everything we needed. The kids did some boogie boarding at the beach about 8 km from the house- they loved it. It’s definitely remote, but the drive going either route is really beautiful so we didn’t mind…it gives you a great perspective on Tahiti culture and lifestyle. We did a fishing trip on our last day and the neighbor came over and helped cut it into sashimi then gave them the other filet! Ornella is a great communicator and we Really appreciated the early check in and late check out given our flight times!

Ingrid was a very gracious host. She was very responsive and provided local recommendations every day. The property was beautiful and spotless. The bungalow was newly built and comfortable. We really enjoyed the dock out back and the kayaks, plus, the view was amazing. I would love to stay here again!

Relaxing stay on the peninsula

We were delighted to stay at Tahiti-Est just a short distance from Tautira on Tahiti Iti. The lodging was sparkling clean and attractive. Eric was most kind and gracious as he welcomed us for our stay. The lawn and garden leading to the waterfront looked as though it was maintained by an upscale resort. We relaxed several times during our stay at the water's edge with an included table and chairs. We heard the surf breaking on the fringing reef in the distance. We saw a number of fish swimming directly below us in the crystal clear water. All things considered, an amazing find on a part of Tahiti that tends to be quieter and more relaxed. Eric was a great and generous host.

I recently stayed at this amazing property and couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience! The location is unbeatable – just a short walk to the world-renowned Teahupo’o wave, making it a dream for surfers or anyone looking to enjoy the area. The house itself is modern, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need. From a fully stocked kitchen with a grill, stove, coffee maker, tea kettle, and all the necessary plates and cookware, to a private, gated yard for added privacy and relaxation, this place has it all. The host was exceptional – responsive, proactive, and friendly, ensuring my stay was seamless from start to finish. I truly felt taken care of throughout the entire experience. Whether you’re visiting for the surf or simply want a relaxing getaway, I highly recommend this property. You won’t find a better spot in such close proximity to Teahupo’o!
