We renovated a 2-story storehouse built in the Edo period and turned it into a guest house. Although it is not spacious, a kitchen with an IH cooking heater has been set up on the first floor, while retaining the atmosphere of a traditional storehouse with earthen walls and thick beams.Fully air-conditioned on the 1st and 2nd floors for a comfortable stay.You can experience the sound insulation, the coolness of the summer, and the warmth of winter. There is a sauna facility about 5 minutes away by car, Anekawa Onsen about 15 minutes away, and Kita-Omi-no-Yu about 20 minutes away. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
