Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Swellendam Local Municipality

We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

Heerlik gekuier in die magnige huis. Ek sou voorstel dat daar genoeg toiletpapier en skottelgoedwasser blokkies gelos word vir die aantal dae wat mens daar lead. Of mens moet vooraf inkennis gestel word dat jy extra self moet saamneem. Daar is nie groot winkels daar nie en toe ons ons after kom ons gaan extra benodig was die "local" winkeltjie reeds toe. Daar was slegs' n toiletrol per badkamer vir 4 mense vir 3 nagt. Daar was ook slegs 2 skottelgoed blokkies vir die masjien vir die 3 dae. Ek het nie 'n probleem om dit self saam te neem nie, maar dan moet mens vooraf kennis dra daarvan. Orals anders waar ons gebly het in die 3 weke het ek presies vooraf geweet dat daar sekere fasaliteite is en wat ons self moes saamneem. Veral as dit 'n klein dorpie is waar daar nie eintlik winkels is nie. Die verblyf was wonderlik, skoon en vriendelike gasvrou. Wifi het gewerk en dit was' n Winige spoed ook. Ek sal weer daar gaan oorbly!

This was our second stay at Angelique’s and we will be back. The location is perfect and we caught loads of fish this holiday. Highly recommend this spot!

What a beautiful spot! The view is exquisite, it is very quiet and private. So peaceful. The pictures don’t do it justice. Unit is comfortable and we utilised the much needed indoor fireplace. The kitchen has pretty much all you need to make meals. The one bathroom only has a bath, so bear that in mind if you are sharing with others. A magic spot in an awesome location! Susanna was very responsive to requests. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Susanna!!

Beautiful property, very well appointed. It’s right on the beach - we saw whales and a superpod of dolphins. We really hope to be back soon!

We had the most wonderful stay. The entertaining space is the best I've encountered. So many options. One better than the other. The kitchen is fully equipped. And cutlery and crockery are plenty plus!! Ines was a perfect host. So friendly, quick to respond and nothing is to much trouble. Very flexible with the check in time. Ideal for a long stay. We had a wonderful weekend at Goodluck Homestead celebrating my mother's 70th birthday. From babies to young kids to parents to grandparents, all needs were catered for. Spacious common areas, with plenty of nooks to sit and relax. A playroom for the kids, a dam to paddle and swim in, a hot tub, fire pit, games, books, farm animals, gorgeous gardens and fresh produce on arrival. It was divine. We'll be back.

The Old School is an absolutely beautiful old building that has been sensitively and lovingly divided into apartments. Suitable for a few days or even months, our room was well designed to provide plenty of space, incredibly well appointed with everything one would need (thank you for all the hooks - so often overlooked!) and our hosts were friendly, kind and generous. The setting is perfect - right near the nature reserve so very, very quiet - and the property's communal garden is peaceful and pretty.

We had the best stay at Linden Tree for a wedding. We were so warmly welcomed by Jenni and her husband, and their friendly two dogs. The rooms were stunning with great views and very clean, with everything you need. The location is also great with it being it right in the town but just off the main road too feel immersed in the nature of Napier. Thank you Jenni for being such kind hosts. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Even though, it was a short stay, we absolutely enjoyed it and had a lovely chat with Jim in the morning. A beautiful place, especially for horse lovers!

I only stayed the one night and was more than happy with my visit.Ideal if like me if you are visiting Robertson Airfield you could walk from Anna's accommodation.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage! We visited with friends, and the setup was perfect—two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, made everything so easy and comfortable. What truly stood out were the thoughtful touches: a little olive branch with chocolate on the bedside table and fresh, beautiful flowers in the bathroom—those small details made us feel really special. The combustion stove was a highlight too, keeping us cozy on the chilly evenings, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We truly appreciated the care and attention put into making the place feel welcoming and memorable. Highly recommend!

Really awesome overnight accommodation! We loved the spacious layout of the room, the comfortable bed and all the thoughtful attention to details which enhanced our stay. Thank you for the bowl of fresh fruit, milk, rusks & delicious Jerepigo! Relaxing in the cut out bath chairs around the fire pit area that evening gazing at the stars and enjoying the view over the orchards with the mountains all around and then watching the glorious sunrise in the morning, makes this short stay memorable! Thank you Jacqueline for being an absolutely gracious super host.

We had the most magical stay! What a beautiful cabin right in the mountains of Suurbraak with a lovely hike to a waterfall directly from the property. The cabin is stunning, we loved how much thought went into everything, we felt comfortable and relaxed! Highlight: spending every evening on the bean bags by the warm indoor fireplace! Beautiful kitchen inside the cabin, indoor & outdoor shower, the communal area is also great with the pool, large seated firepit and lots of relaxing spots in the garden to sit. So special! Cant wait to come back. Kane is super helpful, can buy more wood on the property and we felt very taken care of!

Had a lovely stay in the cottage. You are really out in the middle of nowhere, it is quite peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views around and the stars at night were spectacular. The included game drive was great! We saw giraffes, springbok, wildebeast and some antelope on the drive. We also saw zebras while driving on our way out. The bathtub was massive. Nice towels and robes as well. We used the pizza oven and braai and enjoyed the semi catered package. Note - there were a fair amount of flies in and around the cottage and they were quite annoying but bugs were expected with the remote location. I recommend taking a SUV vs a car when driving there.

We enjoyed a lovely two days at Lika's spot. She was very welcoming and helpful, and was very kind to let us check in earlier than normal because the house was ready for us. Thank you for the lovely, peaceful stay.

A breathtaking stay. We were honestly blown away and will absolutely be booking another stay. It’s such an incredible escape and the 4x4 track is a bit of a thrill. I was also really impressed with how well stocked the cottage was - it has everything you’d need! I highly recommend this spot!

Such a beautiful place, Dorita is a legend. Loved the hikes and the beautiful sunset views. MAKE SURE YOU LOCK THE HOUSE AND CLOSE THE WINDOWS… or you will be baboon raided, we learned the hard way.

We had such a great stay in the A-Frame at WildatHeart. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and tranquil getaway. It was so amazing to wake up in the morning and open up the swinging door of the A-Frame. It felt like our own little Tree-House. The waterfall on the property is absolutely breathtaking. And we couldn't get enough pictures. 10/10 would definitely return again soon.

Great stay , amazing place in nature. Loved the fact that we could be “noisy” and ourselves. We even had the pleasure of seeing a bokkie/kid eating berries infront of the house! Would be even more amazing if they add a hot tub. All in all it was so worth the drive from CPT
