“The best air b&b we have stayed in”. The guesthouse we stayed in was perfect. The place is extremely clean and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The personalised note inside upon check in was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is easy to use and the geothermal water is welcome after a long day of exploring Iceland. The views from the cabin are also breathtaking. Sabine is a great and responsive host, providing really detailed instructions before check in and getting back to queries quickly. We also both really enjoyed our walking tour with her wonderful horses today. Could not recommend this place enough, as my boyfriend said while staying there “I think this is the best air b&b we have ever stayed in”…I couldn’t agree more!!

Prachtige locatie met een superleuk huis! Ook de jacuzzi was fantastisch! Enige wat we missen waren gordijntjes of iets van verduistering voor de ramen. Niet voor de privacy want die heb je voldoende maar wel voor het zonlicht wat al om 04 uur binnenkomt.

Wir haben hier 3 Tage verbracht und fanden das Haus perfekt. Die Lage war super um die Umgebung von Selfoss zu erkunden, Supermärkte konnte man auch in unmittelbarer Nähe finden. Der Hot Tub war super warm und wir konnten abends auch 2x die Nordlichter aus dem Hot Tub beobachten. Wir würden diese Unterkunft definitiv nochmal buchen :)

We loved our stay here. The home is beautiful and suited the needs of our family (ages 1-75). The sauna was incredible and we got to see the Northern lights from the comfort of the hot tub. The hosts were responsive and very easy to communicate with.

I never write reviews but I had to!! This place is amazing and seriously the best air bnb we have ever stayed! The privacy and location was absolutely perfect. Will 1000% be coming back here!

Oskar is a super host, very responsive, friendly, understanding and helpful. The house is located in a beautiful quiet area and is exactly how it looks in the pictures. The hot tube is a really nice addition, kitchen full equipped and beds comfortable. I would happily recommend Oskar house to anyone and look forward to a return visit.

Everything was amazing, she’s very helpful and friendly and suggested us local activities around. The place is clean and the location is beautiful peaceful very good if you want to stay away from the city and have relaxing and quiet time, but also is like 20 minutes to the city, So kinda nice. We also saw the Aurora from the house. I highly recommend it and if i coming back again, will stay at this place. Thank you Katrin!!

C’est une très jolie maison disposant tout (sauf un tire-bouchon). Très confortable et spacieuse. Elle est située près du parc national et la cote. Une voiture est toutefois nécessaire pour se déplacer.

Diese Unterkunft ist traumhaft und idyllisch, mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet und sehr bequem. Nach einem langen Fahrt von Akureyri nach Süden wir sind einfach in einem Paradies gelandet-so hat auf uns die Unterkunft gewirkt! Versteckt zwischen Bäumen und viel Blumen , wunderschön ausgestattet und mit eine großartige Terrasse vorne ! Wir werden diese drei Nächte lange in Gedanken behalten! Eidur ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat sofort geantwortet und ein paar gute Hinweise gegeben was wir noch sehen können. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können nur dankbar sein und weiter empfehlen! Wirklich ein Paradies!

Great location with so much to do within driving distance. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was so cozy and calm with beautiful surroundings. We saw the northern lights, the glow of a volcano and the children had a lot of fun on the zip line.

Though both Google & Apple Maps tried to get us to enter the neighborhood the wrong way (Pay attention--there are two entrances, & you want the one with the blue sign a bit to the west.), everything was great once we got that sorted. The space is small but perfect for two people, and the location is amazing and quiet, yet close to nearby villages and places like Gullfoss and Geysir. At the cabin, the only real sounds are of nature--from the birds to the nearby waterfalls--and the hot tub and deck were lovely. Note that there is only a small fridge, with no freezer, and there is no oven, simply an air fryer and outdoor grill. Grocery shop accordingly, as we did. I definitely recommend hiking back to the falls behind the cabin, as well as heading down the road a bit to see Bruarfoss. The blue water of both is absolutely beautiful! Finally, Hjörtur was responsive to questions before and during our trip, and it was a great visit. I would stay here again for sure.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed here for a week in April, 2025. We found the log cabin the perfect home base for our trip. We loved starting our day with coffee on the deck, admiring the views and birdwatching and ending it on the deck in the hot tub with the Aurora Borealis overhead. Downtown Selfoss is about 25 mins away and there are two grocery stores and a bunch of restaurants. Check out the food hall. It’s an adorable city!

We enjoyed our stay: it was one of the best equipped kitchens we came across during our trip. The outdoor shower was unique and very refreshing. We also appreciated the soft lighting options in the cabin. Both Birna and Pall were very friendly to chat with. We would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful little cabin in a gorgeous area with stunning views. I used this as my home base from which to explore the Golden Circle. The cabin was clean and tidy, the kitchen had all the basics, and there were some lovely touches including chocolate bars, some seltzer, a full carton of milk and cereal. And the heated towel rack was an incredible luxury that I used every day! Sylvia was not there and did not respond to my message telling her what time I would arrive, but her very nice and helpful husband Gylfi greeted me when I arrived and gave me a tour. He also came out to say goodbye when I left and we had a nice chat. I would like to have used the hot tub but it wasn't especially clean. I ended up at the nearby hot pot Secret Lagoon anyway, which was great, so it was not a big loss.

Casa perfecta, pasamos alli dos días, tenía todo lo que necesitábamos, era bonita y en la cocina tenía absolutamente de todo. Estuvimos muy cómodos.

The cabin is a fantastic little bolt hole just outside of Selfoss. Perfect little place, well stocked and clean. It’s perfect for 4, but I think it would struggle to fit 5. Hosts are really helpful, responsive and give lots of useful advice. We would highly recommend

This airbnb is located outside of Selfoss on a beautiful hill that has a very scenic view. You must call the host to open the gate to let you in and out of the driveway that goes up to the house. This was not a problem- the host was available easily. The house is very cute and cozy. We were able to cook our dinner and relax watching some tv in the living room. My daughter loved sleeping up in the loft and seeing the northern lights was the highlight of our stay in this house.

Was a great stay! Our host was super responsive and very helpful. Beds were very comfortable and had plenty of blankets! The cottage was out of the way, which was exactly what we were looking for! It wasn’t too far away from town, maybe a 30 minute drive.

Great private location with a stunning view of the lake, and only a 15 minute drive from Reykjavik. It matched the description exactly and Sigga was a very responsive host!
