Places to stay in Sutherland

Wow... this is not a place one can only stay one night... There is just too much to do! The lodging was beautiful, the surroundings were beautiful, and the host and her husband were friendly and went out of their way to help us. We are definitely going back!

Great place, really enjoyed the stay in the end once I got over the cold! Heating was not ideal as the fireplace in the lounge was really small and didn't do much. The kitchen fireplace just smoked out and then there was an inside braai, as long as you hug that braai you will stay warm but felt the place lacked decent heating. Given the temperatures of Sutherland felt this was an oversight. But I hear most places around the area are the same.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Cottage was perfect, comfortable and peaceful. Arlene is a great host.

We loved staying at this location. It was tucked away from the main city, really peaceful and so nicely decorated. We absolutely enjoyed every minute and wished we could have stayed longer.

Jacks is a beautiful old farm style house with huge rooms. its nice a cosy and really fells like home.

A beautiful massive house with all needed to stay warm in the coldest place in SA. We had an unplanned detour on the bikes and the host were concerned and still accepted us checking in only after 10pm with a smile.

Very easy communication and check-in. Beautifully decorated space with everything you need, even a "portable" aircon. Clean and very tidy - nside as well as outside the place. Secure parking in front of the Log Cabin.
