Peaceful and private spot with plenty of space. Beautiful and safe surroundings, perfect for nature lovers and those who like to be away from towns/cities. The house is very spacious and was spotless when we arrived and we appreciated the fast wifi and dstv.

Writing on behalf of Carla: Alene was a very responsive and helpful host, sending plenty of additional, helpful information ahead of check-in. The accommodation was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped—we really appreciated the electric blankets in chilly Sutherland temperatures! The cottage would be a star-gazer’s dream, being on a farm 21km outside of Sutherland. Although the dirt roads leading there had recently been graded, it’s worth bearing in mind that they are unlit and prone to quickly becoming heavily muddy for a sedan car to navigate in rain.

Wow, this house was so amazing! It looked to be 100 years old- but it was so well kept! Beautiful hard wood floors! Beautiful comfortable beds and bedrooms with bed warmers and lots of extra blankets! I can just imagine the families that lived in this beautiful space throughout the last century. We were met when we arrived and made to feel like it was our home! Such a special house!
