The Carriage House is the second floor of our cedar stables that was turned into an apartment years ago. It has been completely redone and professionally decorated to make it a cozy + luxe retreat with beautiful views. While we no longer use the stables to house animals we still keep a few head of cattle + sheep in the pasture for your enjoyment. The wall of windows along the back of the apartment offer you the most stunning views of the surrounding farmland and an unforgettable sunrise.

The Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead is the oldest restored Amish property in Berks County, bought by Immigrant Nicholas Stoltzfus (ancestor of all Stoltzfus descendants in America) in 1771. You will be staying in a peaceful and cozy barn loft apartment with a private entrance beside the stone house. You can enjoy the flower gardens and birds as you sip a cup of coffee that was roasted on site. Adjacent to the property is the Union Canal Towpath on the Tulpehocken Creek.

The Red Barn Retreat

Welcome to The Red Barn Retreat! We are so excited for you to come visit our peaceful place. The barn was built in the early 1800’s and we completed its renovation in 2014 and an upgrade in 2020 to include air conditioning in the whole barn and new reclining leather couches. It is very special to our family and we hope it will be for you as well! It is a wonderful spot to relax and refresh and make lasting memories.

A unique and private mountain top colonial era spring house, with two springs flowing thru the basement. Originally the site of a tannery in the 1700s. Here you can relax, recharge, and rejuvenate. The french doors on one complete wall amplify the open space with views of the Catskill Mts., pond, fields, and the vast sky. No smoking no pets. You love them, I love them, but they cannot stay here. Also, two night minimum stay. Three night minimum on holiday weekends.

The loft is in a newly renovated barn, located on our small farm in Gap PA. The location is approximately 15 min from Lancaster County’s main attractions. (please see below for more details on location) We have the cutest pony named Snickers who is accompanied by his two bunny friends. He loves when guests stop by to say hi!😊
