unique pied-à-terre in surry hills

My apartment is the entire floor of a corner building in the heart of Surry Hills referred to as the French Quarter, it has 4 mt high ceilings and windows on all sides giving it a light airy feel. The open plan living space has a new architectually designed kitchen, dining, lounge and office space of gracious proportions with a Juliet balcony that overlooks a delicious community garden. The bedroom is spacious and opens onto a private roof terrace garden. The bathroom is generous and has a luxuriously deep bath. There is a separate fully equipped laundry. My apartment is decorated with an eclectic mix of designer furnishings and collected treasures to create a tranquil, luxurious sanctuary. The famous Bourke St bakery and Bill's Cafe are in the immediate vicinity as are Toko, Pizza Birra, Messina gelato and the delicious Crown St Organic Cafe. It is a short walk to Oxford St , the city ,Paddington ,Centennial Park and Central Station. You won't find a better location in Surry Hills.

The interior of the apartment is just as described in the pictures, so lovely and the bed is very comfortable. The location of the building was unexpected (inside of an old shopping centre turned into student accommodation) but the entire building is only accessible by key-card so it felt very secure. As it’s on the same floor as the communal kitchen the hallways smell VERY strongly of food so if you are sensitive to smells it can be quite unexpected and leave you feeling queasy but the smell does not travel inside of the apartment

Despite the walk up the 3 flights of stairs the reward at the end of this was a beautiful apartment with stunning views over Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Luna park. Great location in Potts Point and close to shops. Well appointed facilities and clear instructions to operate the facilities there - I will be back there.

The location of the accommodation is in the middle of the airport and downtown, and the train station and bus stop were really close, so it was perfect to come and go. In addition, it was within a 10-minute walk of Woolwalls Mart, restaurants, butchers, etc., so I was able to use it at any time. The atmosphere and security of the neighborhood felt comfortable and safe. The interior of the house is tidy, and the air conditioner works well. The stairs and bathroom door are close, but I don't think it's a problem if you're an adult. It was the right size place with everything we needed. If I come back to Sydney, or if someone says I'm staying, I'll recommend it as much as I can:) Thank you for your prompt response and kindness. We provide a lot of consideration so that our guests can use it comfortably.👍

Yalith’s place was the ideal location for 3 generations, visiting family locally - with easy access to public transport but also beautiful walks from the doorstep. Yalith and family were friendly and welcoming, and always available if needed, but our stay felt very private and peaceful. Looking forward to our next stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tracey and Tony’s place. It is centrally located, walkable to restaurants and shops in both Surry hills and the city centre and China town. We walked to the White Rabbit gallery too. The studio has a lot of natural light, a beautiful balcony and the space is tastefully decorated. Loved the artworks in the studio and the staircase space. Tracey and Tony are warm and welcoming. My daughter left her Apple Pencil behind and Tony went above and beyond to organise it to be returned.

Additionally, the convenience of a $15 Uber ride for destinations a bit further added to the overall convenience of our stay. A truly fantastic Airbnb experience!
