House vacation rentals in Surry County

We traveled to North Carolina for our son’s graduation and needed a place large enough to host our crew. We found Eli’s house and it was perfect. Check in was extremely easy, Eli sent the instructions in a timely manner. Once we arrived the house was beautiful, and had plenty of room for all of us. We were able to find pretty much everything we needed while we were there. The pool, and table games helped keep the kids entertained in between family events for my son. The house was perfectly located close enough to the lake for us to enjoy. The host was incredible even after check out. I had accidentally left a pair of sunglasses and a hat and Eli was quick to offer to send them to me. I loved how responsive he was and just as kind as can be. We will definitely be staying here again

I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway! Ruth’s place in Galax was the perfect escape after a hectic end to the school year. The home was peaceful, spotless, and beautifully maintained—exactly what I needed to relax and recharge. Ruth was a thoughtful and responsive host, and everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. The quiet surroundings and small-town charm made it even more special. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

I stayed at Kumi’s place for one night on my way back from a seminar with my working cadaver dog. After a week of working, it was just the relaxing space we needed! I wish we’d had time to stop for more than just a night, I will absolutely be visiting again when it’s warm enough for the pool to be open. The hot tub was delightful for my sore muscles and the shower was super nice. The plants were such a nice surprise and made me feel at home. Kumi was an excellent host and K9 Duke gives her place 4 paws up

This place was a gem. The views were absolutely stunning—whether it was sunrise with coffee or winding down in the evening, the scenery never got old. Inside, it felt like home from the moment I walked in. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together with everything I needed. You can tell the host really cares about creating a welcoming space. That’s why we’ve rented this place in the past as well.

Needed a place to stay while in the area, drove from Alabama. The home was great!!! Nice and cozy felt like I was at home, the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The home had everything you could possibly need and the host was very clear on instructions. We will definitely be making this a regular place to stay instead of booking a hotel! Very nice place for a relaxing place to call home. Very clean home inside and out. Pool very clean. Hot tub very clean as well. Zip line was fun for my first time ever. You won’t be bored at this place. Highly recommend. Would like to go again when we go visit and bring my daughter next time.

Quiet , Peaceful and Squeaky clean. The Airbnb is at a beautiful location. It's equipped with all amenities and has games and some cool gadgets too. The Cookware is absolutely top notch. Close to restaurants and Town. Legit!!

Great place with a stunning view. Very peaceful and lots to do. I rented cabin for end of year 2024-25 with my family and had a great time! We walked to the nearby creek & used the firepit, swings & did a lil exploring in the area. Wei was a great host, very attentive & communicative. I highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay with Ben and Dennis. We met both upon our arrival and they were very kind and friendly. Their communication with us was outstanding before, during and after our stay. The home was a historical home that had been updated and was decorated accordingly. It offered an outside covered dining and sitting area at the back. There was a nice front porch with a swing and rocking chairs. The home was very clean throughout. They provided us with water in the refrigerator and delicious snacks to choose from as well. We hope to visit Ben and Dennis again at their Airbnb. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

A wonderful weekend spent with our family! My husband and his family stayed here two years ago the weekend we got married, loved the house, and wanted to stay again with my family. Definitely a unique opportunity to visit the Dobson-Rockford-Boonville area that we don't normally visit, even living only 20-30 minutes away. So many vineyards nearby to visit, but we loved Sanders Ridge! Also paid a visit to The Depot at Cody Creek. Be sure the Rockford General Store is open before you stroll down there from the house. Found cute boutiques in Boonville and Rockford, too! The fire-pit and property are spacious and relaxing, perfect for a short weekend getaway outside of Winston-Salem and Mt. Airy. We will definitely be back to make more memories!

Had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Mount Airy! The space was spotless, with a seamless check-in and check-out process. The highlight was the beautiful view of the golf course, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway!

Megan’s place was easy to find, and very clean. Location is great within a few miles of things to do and places to eat. She was very quick to respond. Would definitely recommend her place.

Beautiful home ; stay was for a wedding weekend, location couldn’t have been better

Omegia greeted us when we came and was immediately responsive to our questions during our stay. She left a bottle of wine and cheese for us and donuts for breakfast. We did have problems with our front door lock and the TV had no signal while we were there. It is, however, a lovely, peaceful neighborhood close to downtown Elkin and Omegia is a friendly attentive host. We enjoyed our visit.

Convenient location! House is well furnished, beds were very comfortable, loved that each room had its own ac unit. I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay, the place was cozy and spacious, we really enjoyed the hot tub, and the cottage had all the amenities of home, the washer and dryer were very helpful! The family knew it was our anniversary and got us a bouquet of flowers and candy on our arrival. Definitely recommend!!

Our stay was one of need over enjoyment, but we loved The Vineyard House. The house is very large, and extremely comfortable. All of the amenities were spot on, and convenience to downtown and area businesses made a lot of ease in our needs. Cherie was wonderful and prompt in our communication. When we had to make immediate extensions to our stay, we were able to reach out and get what we needed. Thanks for having us enjoy your home.

Mt Airy is my hometown. We came back for a bridal shower being given for my daughter. Theresa’s place was the perfect place to stay. Such a great location!! The house was so charming and comfortable. We had everything we needed there. Theresa was very responsive!! I would definitely recommend her place to anyone and I would certainly stay here again. This was a super cute house outside of town in a beautiful area. We were traveling with kids and pets and there was plenty of space for everyone. The backyard was gorgeous. I would love to have spent more time there but we only stayed one night as we were passing through.

Terrie and Thomas were excellent hosts! We stayed at the artist's lodge as well before this house. Both places had everything we needed and T and T would check in on us to make sure we were okay. Also, being in nature was wonderful. The property is really quiet and peaceful. Our dog loved it up here too. This was definitely one of the best places we have stayed. Will definitely stay again!
