We truly want Everyone to feel welcome here! Bar Harbor is a scenic 45 minute drive away. There is great hiking/xc skiing in our huge back yard (Sunrise trail/Maine reserve land) Rustic farm apartment with full kitchen, breakfast foods provided first day. Farm veg can be bought in season & our own wine, jam, hot sauce, maple syrup. Can accommodate 6 folks, one in a cupola! Hot shower & heat. There is a sawdust compost toilet-Easy to use & no smell! We are on Wabanaki land, give all respect.

Our pond has a sandy bottom and it spans over 550 acres so we like to call it a lake! This house features its own private beachfront with two kayaks included! Swim the crystal clear waters! We are about 45 mins to Bar Harbor and Acadia State Park. Winter Harbor/Shoodic Pennisula is about 15 mins away. Down East Sunrise Trail is right across the pond for hiking and snowmobiling.

Our cabin is a 2 min. walk to the rocky shore of Frenchman Bay. We are half way between Acadia National Park, 45 minutes away and Schoodic Peninsula, 20 minutes away. Our cabin is cozy and peaceful. Full kitchen and a gas fireplace for your enjoyment along with a compfy bed and a compfy futon in living room. Brilliant star lit sky and solitude at night. we open 6/13/20,we do not charge a cleaning fee, all we ask is to respect our cabin. thanks k&j

Absolutely stunning space. We chose to spend our honeymoon here and it did not disappoint! Nicole was very proactive, super helpful, and very generous. Everything felt comfortable and clean and it looked even better than in the pictures. We are so looking forward to coming back!

Tunk Retreat- Close to lakes & hiking!

Good location. ~40 mins drive to the Bar Harbor and the Acadia park entrance. Car can be parked in front of the house. House is clean, and we were asked to do the laundry for towels, do dishes and throw out the trash before we left. The living room window has no curtains but other houses are far away from us so it was okay.

Bruce’s place was incredible! It was so close to the state park and to Acadia. It also had a lot of space and felt very homey. I work remotely and Bruce’s place was perfect for that. Would 100% recommend!

This is a perfect little rustic gem, and actually quite spacious, and the little back deck facing the lupine field wonderful. Minimal traffic on the road, and the walk to the bathroom is an easy 100 feet. Casual and not precious. Perfect for us Mainers on a work trip up to nearby Acadia. Highly suggested.
