Vacation rentals in Strausstown

Our group could not have been more impressed! This was one of our top experiences! Melissa was always very quick to answer questions. They have a FAQ video that was SUPER helpful. The house was perfect! The large dining table and chairs was one of the big selling points! You don't find many houses that can accommodate 17 people at one time. We loved their attention to detail by labeling where everything was in the kitchen! Even the bedrooms had name tags on them. They had QR codes you could scan in case you needed to know how to use the heating, ac, or hot tub. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious! They even included a laundry kit for us. The multiple decks allowed our large group to enjoy the back yard together. We spent hours in the game room. The kitchen included everything we needed! The 2 full size refrigerators was a big PLUS! The cost was VERY reasonable! They really seem to care about their guests and seem to have thought of everything! We will return!

Older house but very comfortable. Two bedrooms upstairs are railroad so you will have to walk through one to get to the other. One bathroom but it's nice and well stocked. Nice views into the farms and valleys. Only issue we had was one of my friends was afraid of the old house noises from the wind. Great for families or a few friends looking for a low key place to stay

This is our 2nd stay @ “Pinewood Retreat” because we absolutely LOVED this home the 1st time (4/2024)!!! We love this property so much that we have decided to make this an annual family trip. The pictures are accurate & the home is lovely. It is family (kid) friendly, which is very important to us. It also has a reclining chair that is a must-have for my husband. He & I, along with our 3 adult children, their spouses & their kids will continue to enjoy this property for as long as it is available. We’ll be back in 2026…

Had a wonderful stay! The house was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. So convenient they had an EV charger on site I did not have to worry. Eric was friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were in the area to do some hiking at Hickory Run State Park with another couple. Adem's place was about 20 minutes away, easy to find, and perfect for the four of us for one night. The pool and Foosball tables were a fun extra, although that room was quite cold. We all enjoyed a comfortable evening in and great night's sleep!

We had a fantistic time getting away at Kelly's A-Frame. Beautiful surroundings, and a rustic lot were just what we needed for a retreat. Thanks for a great stay!

My wife and my daughter (3) love staying at this house! It's our second time here and it always feels just like home to us. This doesn't feel like a typical rental, it feels loved and lived in with allot of small little tweaks and amenities to make it feel like home. There are allot of kids toys indoors and outdoors. It's a very quiet neighborhood, still not very far away from restaurants and various activities. On top of all that, the hosts are fantastic and are super quick to respond if you ever have any questions or things you need help with. Absolute Top Notch hosts. We will continue looking here first whenever we come visit the Poconos area!

We had a great Spring Break at Doug’s place in Lake Harmony! The house layout and accommodations were perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the hot tub, game room, and yard. The sauna worked great and was enjoyed by the adults! We also enjoyed precious family time around the fire pit every night. The property is so serene, private and beautiful, and made for a great Easter Egg hunt :) The location is great. While feeling very remote, it is a short drive to access anything you need (restaurants, grocery, coffee). Short drive to Hickory Run State Park (we hiked Hawk Falls and visited Boulder Field) and Austin T Blakeslee natural area for hiking and fishing. Thank you again to the great hosts, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for any kind of Poconos retreat!
