FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

In this cozy, little cottage, you live on a horse farm just outside Karlskoga center. Close to the E18 which is perfect if you want to stay overnight. The cottage is located next to the popular area of the fish lake where many birders are located, if you have that interest. Barbecue area is up on the mountain and you live with the forest right next to the corner. In the cabin there is wifi and a smart TV so you can easily stream your favorite movie. Equipment: simpler grill, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge and freezer, kitchen items, 4 proper beds, 2 simpler beds in bunk bed for children, plenty of seating available. Fire place/wood stove not in use. The cottage has electricity, but no running water/sewage. There is a 25L can you refill with fresh water nearby. Toilet about 200 meters away. There are hiking trails, beach, cafe, mini golf, etc. Good fishing.

When you are looking for a nice Stuga that is secluded but still has a supermarket within 10 km, this is a very good option. Nature is beautiful and rugged, so good hiking shoes are important. Also, a day in Karlstad is fine to do.

A nice and cozy cottage on the river with a wooden terrace three-quarters around and a spacious garden so you can enjoy the sun all day. A cozy kitchen, but equipped with everything you need. We had super sunny days and could therefore use the outdoor kitchen for breakfast/lunch/evening - ideal! The water took some getting used to for us, but for washing dishes/showering it is no problem. For sleeping, we used the sofa bed in the living room and slept well on it. The conservatory is a nice addition to the cottage: from here you can also see the river. Furthermore, there is plenty to do and experience with all the amenities at the cottage: we mainly used the canoe - recommended👍. In addition, there are plenty of hiking areas in the area to take both short and long(er) walks. We had a great time here for a few days!
