The KNSM Island is one of the hidden gems of Amsterdam, quiet and peaceful, but close to the city center. It is possible to sit outside on a private terrace and jump in the water for a swim. The sunsets are pretty spectacular as well.

The entrance to the house is communal, we live on the top floors, but the studio has its own entrance from the hallway and has private access to the garden with view on and entrance to a canal. The studio has a kitchen with basic cooking equipment (microwave, hot plates, pans, coffeemaker etc), shower, toilet and seating area to make your stay as convenient as possible.

Peters Haus war dank seiner präzisen Anleitung sehr gut zu finden. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Unser Wohnbereich war modern und gemütlich. Alles war wie beschrieben. Die Lage ist ruhig gelegen, mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, und können Peters Unterkunft sehr empfehlen!

Sabine war ein echt großartiger Gastgeber! Wir haben sie persönlich nicht angetroffen aber sie hat sich dennoch Mühe gemacht und sich regelmäßig nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt. Des Weiteren hatte sie auch wirklich viele gute Vorschläge, was man vor Ort alles erleben kann und nicht verpassen sollte! Über das Zimmer lässt sich auch kein schlechtes Wort verlieren, man bekommt was einem versprochen wurde und es gab eine wirklich gemütliche Atmosphäre!

Mirjam nous as accueillis chaleureusement dès notre arrivée malgré l'heure tardive. La chambre est très agréable, calme, spacieuse, lumineuse, décorée avec goût. Les petites attentions (thé, tisanes, café, stroopwafels, wihlelmina) sont appréciables et ont agrémenté joliment notre séjour. Nous avons grandement apprécié la possibilité de laisser nos bagages dans la chambre le dernier jour avant notre départ tout comme Mirjam nous a fait une confiance absolue en nous suggérant de laisser les clés à l'intérieur du logement si elle n'était pas là pour notre départ. Nous ne pouvons que recommander notre hôte et la remercions encore pour tout.

Jackie en todo momento fue muy servicial y cordial. El departamento limpio y hermoso con vista al lago. Tiene todo lo necesario, desde cubiertos hasta electrodomésticos. La ubicación es muy buena, ya que a solo dos cuadras tenes el metro que te conecta con el centro de Ámsterdam en 15 minutos. Lo súper recomiendo!!

Mark is an exceptional host and a great person. The house was like walking into design/art fairytale and it was maintained so incredibly well. Everything was so well-maintained, carefully curated and well-placed. Truly a beautiful experience to stay there.

Ozzy’s place is a gem. The apartment is spotless, beautifully designed and incredibly well located. The train is quite literally at the door, which made getting around so easy. It’s in a part of the city that gives you a feel for local life…not too far from the center, but just far enough to avoid the overly touristy vibe. I loved that balance! The space itself is full of thoughtful touches, both calming and eclectic. It’s easy to see how much care has gone into creating it :) And then there’s Ozzy himself. A truly wonderful host. It’s easy to see why he has so many glowing reviews. He’s kind, attentive and genuinely thoughtful, with a calm energy and personality that puts you at ease right away. What made this trip even more special were the conversations we had…thoughtful, funny and unexpectedly grounding. I left this place not only well rested but v inspired. Ozzy and the space both have a way of staying with you... Highly recommend, and I hope to return.
