Cottage vacation rentals in Star Lake

This is my favorite place to stay in my 21-day trip to eastern Canada. The accommodation is very private and quiet. The environment is quiet and beautiful. If I come to Thousand Island Lake again next time, this is definitely my only choice.

Tim's place is beautiful and great for a family or a small group of friends. the views are breathtaking and aside from 1 neighbour(who was not there the whole time) it is a very private location. the place was spotless clean when we arrived!! we had some issues with sleeping arrangements as we got extremely unlucky with the weather while we stayed and were hit with cold fronts and rain. Was way too cold to sleep in the bunkie and unfortunatley there is no heating in there. I would say 6 people max to reach max comfortability in this cottage. We will definitely be back here with a smaller group and no baby!

This was a great spot for our large family to land together while visiting other local family for the holidays. We appreciated the open space and the well-equipped kitchen and laundry. Christine's place was clean and it worked well for our needs! We'd come again for sure.

When we arrived the house was toasty warm and super clean. Kitchen was well stocked and everything we needed was there. The beds were large and very comfortable. It was snowing and a very nice view and super quiet. They have a lot of games and movies as well as a large telivision. An abundance of towels and sheets. We had a wonderful stay here for snowmobiling. I can't think of anything we needed that was not there would stay again! The owners responded to our questions very quickly. Great stay!

Place was terrific, Don was great, the whole experience was marvellous!

The setting is beautiful, great views from the house and deck. Lovely rustic cabin. Very clean and Jodi is extremely responsive.

We only stayed for one night to break our journey up as we were heading to Niagara Falls , absolutely gorgeous location a step away from the lake with breathtaking scenery , perfect to sit out on the patio enjoying the scenery and having a drink and chill , beds were very comfortable we both slept well , welcome basket was a nice touch , we used the kitchen and made our own dinner and table was gorgeous to sit at , would recommend to anyone who enjoys relaxing and great views

This was my first time staying at Ken’s beautiful home on Minerva Lake. When I walked inside I was in awe. The interior home is stunning. A large dining room table was off to the side of the living room and we loved gathering around the table to do watercolor paintings. The bedrooms are comfy and cute. Little details around the house like nightlights and paintings are so sweet. Everything we needed was there for us. The kitchen was cute and we enjoyed cooking our meals and making salads. The fire pit outside was also lots of fun. We made s’mores and we were hoping to see the Northern Lights but unfortunately they didn’t come down south far enough, but we still had fun. The house is extremely comfortable and inviting. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back. Thanks Ken for everything. Lori.

Our cabin was so beautiful, incredibly clean and really well located. 10 minutes from the local town and 5 minutes from The Ivy Lea (great restaurant). We had access to the water to sit and watch the sunset, as well as access to the docks for our boat. The bay is private and beautiful. The cabins are close together and would be great for multiple family members to rent together.

Our stay at the Blue Fox Cottage was absolutely wonderful! The home was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Eric and Matt were thoughtful hosts and provided all the info we needed. The surrounding area was peaceful and scenic, and the cottage had everything we could ask for. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a comfortable, charming retreat. Looking forward to coming back again, Inshallah!

Loved visiting this place, even in the winter season! The house is warm and incredibly beautiful with full in views of the boats, sea planes and wildlife of the St. Lawrence. It’s so nice to lay in bed on a day off and watch the amazing scenery on the river pass by the massive windows as the sun comes up. The house was incredibly clean and well supplied we quickly and easily found everything we neeed in the kitchen to cook our own meals with the groceries we had delivered. Gerard and David were very friendly hosts, we would happily rent from them again.

My personal best Airbnb experience hands down!! The home owners thought of everything, and you have everything you need except for your own personal belongings and sustenance. This is how Airbnb’s used to be back in the day but Ryan and his family’s home have taken it to the next level! Modern, clean, clutter free. They’ve thought of literally everything. Worth every penny. Don’t hesitate. If you’re staying up in the 1000 islands, stay here. No brainer in my book! Thanks, Ryan and fam for a wonderful last minute weekday getaway.

It was clean and nice place We all enjoyed the place We had a issues with AC not working but send mag quick response, Showers water is smell might need install water deification systems Kitchen is second floor nice to have in one in 1st floor Nice pool ,hot tap, fishing great Over roll great place Look forward next year for sure

The house and grounds were great, Such a wonderful find for a weekend getaway. Gillian med us upon our arrival and gave us a third walk-through of the property. A very kind and welcoming host. There was an incredible amount of space in this country ranch, both indoors and out. A hot tub was clean and large enough for my group to hang out, picnic tables outside, made for a good barbecue. It was such a short trip to downtown Alexandria Bay, five minutes, it really was a great place to be right next to the heart of it all well not being stuck the rest of the visitors. We all look forward to looking this place again and enjoying the thousand islands

We had a great family week away at David’s place and as a host he was super helpful. The view from the window/hot-tub/deck was fantastic, shame we could not bring it home with us! The weather was not great for the week, meaning limited time on the lake. We did manage a day on a hired boat, the other days we went on day trips to local towns and Ottawa by train from Brockville. We also did a city cruise of 1000 islands and attended the annual 1000 islands rib fest. The house was well equipped with all we needed for a great family stay and a relaxing week. For a BBQ recommend a trip to “The Butcher Shop”.

We had a wonderful time here. Enjoyed the hot tub and Sauna. The beds were comfortable, had lots of towels for both hot tub and shower. It had everything we needed for a nice stay.

We wanted to reconnect as a family before our daughter heads away for a few months of travel and this was the perfect spot. It’s such a beautiful cottage in an incredible location with incredible views. From mornings spent marveling at the sunrise over the lake to walking the trails, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We visited in winter and although we were warned there is no central heat, with the baseboard heaters and a wood burning stove, we were always warm and cozy - even at night. Chris was a great host and would check in on us to ensure we had everything we need. We’re already trying to decide when we can go back!

Lee's cottage was a perfect place for our family trip (toddler included)! The design and layout of the cottage is both gorgeous and functional. The kitchen is fully stocked with any equipment you need and even the pantry has a number of essentials. Great location in Lake Placid. Short walk to the ski shuttle stop if you are planning to "Ski the Face" and don't want to deal with parking. Walkable to downtown, but also a short drive when it's really cold. Lee is an incredibly responsive host and attentive to the details. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

The furniture is clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. We especially liked that there was plenty of space for clothing and belongings, and appreciated the wifi, nice TV and games.

What a great stay! Rick and Jenna’s place was better than in the pictures. I can’t even begin to explain how much thought was put into everything, tons and tons of small details that made our stay amazing

Hands down one of the best airbnb stays and hosts! Wanted to spend my husband’s birthday at the Buddy shack and happened to mention that to Brandon before the stay. When we checked in, baked chocolate cake, ice cream, a gift bag, a birthday card and a beautiful handwritten note were waiting for us. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to describe this gesture! And there are thoughtful touches around the house that made us feel right at home. Communication was excellent. Felt like I was chatting with a friend. Tried two restaurants that they recommended and both could give the NYC restaurants a run for their money! The property is beautiful. Enjoyed excellent weather and quiet time by the lake. Overall, I highly recommend the Buddy Shack. You will return with wonderful memories and a full heart!

We rented this place over the long weekend and just loved it. Robert was a very response host. Everything was perfect. Very spacious place with everything you could possibly need. Very close to town, grocery store and sight seeing. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.

Dan’s cottage is beautiful and very well appointed! There are so many extras that make you feel welcome. We found everything we needed and then some. The cottage is on a beautiful peace of property close to Main Street and many outdoor activities. Dan also welcomed our dog, which made us feel right at home. My husband and I highly recommend Dan’s cottage. We hope to return next year.
