Cottage vacation rentals in Star Lake

This was a great spot for our large family to land together while visiting other local family for the holidays. We appreciated the open space and the well-equipped kitchen and laundry. Christine's place was clean and it worked well for our needs! We'd come again for sure.

Très beau chalet, très propre et bien entretenu. John offre un service 5 étoiles et est très disponible, convivial et flexible. La vue sur le lac est magnifique! Le gros BBQ Weber était une belle surprise. Les enfants se sont beaucoup amusés! Les photos et la description correspondent très bien au chalet en vrai. À noter qu’il faut apporter sa propre eau potable puisque l’eau du robinet n’est pas bonne à boire. Il y a des voisins à proximité autour du lac, mais nous ne les avons pas vu durant notre séjour. Il y a le Higley Flow State Park situé à 10 minutes en voiture pour de la randonnée en raquette ou en ski. Super séjour! Je recommande!

This is a great little beach cabin with miles and miles of walkable beach right out the door. This location is a perfect place to unwind, relax in the hammock, listen to the waves, read a book, and enjoy a beautiful sunset around a campfire. We’ve stayed here a couple times now and won’t hesitate to book again.

This place is awesome. Stayed for a fishing trip and the host was very accommodating and responsive. We will definitely be back!

The property is beautiful. Luckily we were the only ones there, so had the land to ourselves. felt private and serene. I would not have enjoyed it as much if the other cabin had occupants as everything is close together. The cabin is cozy, furniture/appliances are a little wobbly but it adds to the charm and quiky of the place. it was bright and clean. the water is super murky right by the boathouse and launch, but clears as you head out. The stone "step" onto the porch of the cabin can be tricky with anyone with mobility limitations, so take it slow. There is an antique store maybe a 5 min walk that is a great little treasure trove. I found the cutest wind chimes. And loved chatting with the lady working. Most people we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Quick drive to Clayton and Watertown. There is a country store and a dollar general not very far from the cabin if you need supplies and firewood for sale galore. Wendy was a gracious host. Will be back!

Kat’s cabin is charming and just what we needed for a relaxing weekend away.. we had everything we needed in the kitchen and in the bathroom. We found the cottage, very clean and comfortable. We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t use the kayaks as we were very excited to do so. We did find some quaint shops and great restaurants in the area and would definitely enjoy a stay here again.!

Our cabin was so beautiful, incredibly clean and really well located. 10 minutes from the local town and 5 minutes from The Ivy Lea (great restaurant). We had access to the water to sit and watch the sunset, as well as access to the docks for our boat. The bay is private and beautiful. The cabins are close together and would be great for multiple family members to rent together.

Loved visiting this place, even in the winter season! The house is warm and incredibly beautiful with full in views of the boats, sea planes and wildlife of the St. Lawrence. It’s so nice to lay in bed on a day off and watch the amazing scenery on the river pass by the massive windows as the sun comes up. The house was incredibly clean and well supplied we quickly and easily found everything we neeed in the kitchen to cook our own meals with the groceries we had delivered. Gerard and David were very friendly hosts, we would happily rent from them again.

Came down for a rugby tournament with a group from Kingston ON. This spot was spacious, clean, very nice and up to date. No issues at all! Would love to come back in the summer once the weather is nicer to enjoy the beautiful yard set up they had.

My personal best Airbnb experience hands down!! The home owners thought of everything, and you have everything you need except for your own personal belongings and sustenance. This is how Airbnb’s used to be back in the day but Ryan and his family’s home have taken it to the next level! Modern, clean, clutter free. They’ve thought of literally everything. Worth every penny. Don’t hesitate. If you’re staying up in the 1000 islands, stay here. No brainer in my book! Thanks, Ryan and fam for a wonderful last minute weekday getaway.

We loved our stay with our family and four legged friends! Great location close to our family and easy travel to Elgin for food and Westport for shops and Brewery!

Great spot for families. The kids and adults loved the water trampoline with slide and balance beam. Lots of activity. We canoed and swam in good quality lake water. The fire pit was great for our traditional marshmallow roast. There were load of board games. And the beds were excellent. Very important for aging grandparent backs. You'll enjoy your stay. games when it rained.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Jay’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. We had a wonderful time here. Enjoyed the hot tub and Sauna. The beds were comfortable, had lots of towels for both hot tub and shower. It had everything we needed for a nice stay.

We really enjoyed our stay & so did our pups! Great location. So much to do & some gorgeous hikes nearby. Jennifer was a great host! We will definitely be back

The furniture is clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. We especially liked that there was plenty of space for clothing and belongings, and appreciated the wifi, nice TV and games.

Thank you so much for the perfect getaway stay! Everything was as described and more. Perfect sleeps were had, kitchen was well equipped for all the late night creations, comfy reading spots throughout the home. Comfort levels were absolutely met! We enjoyed it immensely and can't wait to stay again soon.

Hands down one of the best airbnb stays and hosts! Wanted to spend my husband’s birthday at the Buddy shack and happened to mention that to Brandon before the stay. When we checked in, baked chocolate cake, ice cream, a gift bag, a birthday card and a beautiful handwritten note were waiting for us. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to describe this gesture! And there are thoughtful touches around the house that made us feel right at home. Communication was excellent. Felt like I was chatting with a friend. Tried two restaurants that they recommended and both could give the NYC restaurants a run for their money! The property is beautiful. Enjoyed excellent weather and quiet time by the lake. Overall, I highly recommend the Buddy Shack. You will return with wonderful memories and a full heart!

We rented this place over the long weekend and just loved it. Robert was a very response host. Everything was perfect. Very spacious place with everything you could possibly need. Very close to town, grocery store and sight seeing. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.

Our stay at White Birches Cottage in Sandy Creek, NY, was absolutely delightful! Situated on the serene North Lake, which connects to the stunning Lake Ontario, the cottage provided a perfect retreat. Its location allowed us to explore local dining options and the nearby Sandy Island Beach State Park, which was only a 25-minute drive. The sunsets there were truly breathtaking—a sight to cherish. The hosts thought of everything to make us and our fur babies feel welcome. The thoughtful treats they left for our pets were such a kind gesture that added an extra layer of warmth to our experience. The cottage was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of charm and convenience, this is definitely the place to stay!
