Vacation rentals with beach access in St. Mary's County

This place is adorable! And it's right on the water! The space is well appointed and well designed with high-end touches. The bed was comfy, too. I'd highly recommend this apartment for couples who are looking for a quiet getaway.

We wanted peace and quiet and that’s what it offered. Our children sent me for my birthday. We arrived at night so it was hard to see the address that’s when we realized others were on the property. Very clean and fresh. A few more kitchen amenities would have been nice. A nice touch of a birthday balloon and treats. We would come back again. Thanks

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful view, very peaceful. Sitting on the dock and watching the sunset became a favorite past time. Mary was so kind to allow us to use her patio to have my son over for food and games. It was a truly lovely stay. More amenities than any place I'd been to before. My only note was that the curtains in the primary bedroom are just sheer cloth, so the sun comes in at 5 am to wake you up, but that can be remedied with a mask, and changing in the bathroom was fine for me. The view is mostly wooded, so I wasn't concerned much about people seeing in, but I wasn't comfortable changing at night with the light on. The other thing to note is that the bedroom door does not lock from the outside, and there is access to the downstairs apartment from the house upstairs. It did not bother me, I took my purse when I left and didn't have anything to lock up anyway. Honestly this is a 5 star place to stay, and the little things are just that.

Great and convenient stay for our beach weekend! The apartment was comfortable and clean, with a beach within walking distance. Also easy drives to antiques stores and Flag Pond for shark tooth hunting. Hosts were great and let us stay longer at check out due to a surprise flat tire!

This is our second time staying at this cozy and tranquil retreat—and it won’t be our last. We first came here six months ago for a quiet getaway from the kids, and we liked it so much we knew we’d be back. This time was just as wonderful. The place is spotless, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. The view of the bay is absolutely stunning—calm, quiet, and the perfect backdrop for unwinding. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the space has everything you need for a comfortable and refreshing stay. If you’re looking for a serene escape with beautiful scenery and thoughtful touches, this is the place. We’re already planning our next visit.

Sheila was a great host! She greeted us upon arrival, and left lots of helpful signage and instructions around the place, along with many recommendations for local restaurants and things to do during our stay. Gerry was also very friendly! This location was the cleanest airBNB we have ever stayed at. Although our stay was short, we had a great one! Check in and check out were also very easy. We would definitely stay at Sheila’s location again! It gave us the perfect location to do some fossil hunting and see some of Maryland’s beaches, and whenever we feel like doing more of that, we will be back!

Dayna has decorated her place with many interesting antiques and eclectic objects. There's always something new to discover and good books to leaf through. It's a pretty and cozy place with a spacious bath and well-appointed kitchen, and a living room that easily seats four. Parking is an easy pull-in next to the apartment, off the street. There are renters upstairs who are quiet. The only somewhat negative is the road noise, though this isn't bad at night and we slept well. Dayna was responsive and helpful with questions we had about the area.

My mom, sisters, friends and I enjoyed a relaxing fun filled time at the Coastal Oasis at the Chesapeake for our Mother's Day Retreat. The view is amazing and truly can be seen from every room in the house! Being able to see the beauty and calmness of the water helped each of us kick back and let the stress melt away. The big dinning room table allowed all of us all to enjoy breakfasts, dinners and touching conversations together. My guests loved the décor and raved about every detail. The beds and furniture were comfortable and house clean. I would definitely come back!

Came back for a third visit and had a lovely time at this peaceful retreat.

Patrick and Celine's home was everything they said: Beautiful views! Very clean and comfortable and cozy inviting and even had a beautiful Christmas tree in the living room. Had everything you could need in kitchen and bathrooms very clean comfortable home. The grand-kids both stayed in the room with the bunk-beds. They enjoyed the space and comfort of the beds. All the rooms and beds were comfortable. The house was so cute, we didn't have a chance to enjoy the outside amenities, being that it is December. Everything is just as pictured on-line maybe even better in person. The hosts were very communicative, we never had any issues. We had a great holiday time and would love to be able to return sometime. We would definitely recommend.

We had a great time at Nicholas and Dana's place! It was both fun and relaxing. We really enjoyed the little beach, the dock and the kayaks. We caught some catfish and one tiny crab in the crab trap (and threw everything back in). It was nice to have the firepit and hot tub to use too. And, the kids really liked being downstairs in their own space. The only issues were that the key pad wasn't working to get in to the front door which was frustrating after a long drive and the grill was very slow to heat up and probably needs to be replaced. Overall, this home was a really good choice for us and we would stay again when visiting family in the area.

We had a wonderful vacation here. Although it rained during our stay, we found the treehouse to be a great place just for listening the rain drops and having some inner peace.

This was one of our all-time favorite rentals! The hosts were responsive and communicated frequently. I really appreciated the flexibility about check in and check out times! We loved being able a very short walk away from the private beach. We also loved that the beach items in the shed were available for us to use. It was wonderful packing up the car and not having to worry about beach chairs, beach towels, an umbrella, sand toys, a cooler, and a wagon to cart everything to the beach. A lot of the bedding in the house is brand new, as is the couch in the living room. The only thing we did not love was the bathroom; there is only one and five of us had to share it. The water, especially in the bathroom sink, also smells like sulfur. This was an inconvenience rather than an actual issue though (we just used the kitchen sink when possible), and it would not deter us from renting this house again.

We booked this place for a weekend getaway with our little ones. It was absolutely the perfect place for what we were planning! The private beach was PERfECT for young children! the kids loved being able to ride their scooters under the house. We got some fishing in, daughter was a spot master! The hammock was lost in a storm before we arrived, but our superhost made sure we could enjoy a hammock!! upon hearing that it was the top of the list of kids wish list, she took time out of her day and drove all the way and installed a new hammock for us!! Was even so considerate to offer to pick up any needed items. I believe more than the kids, my dog had the time of his life!! They even had doggy bowls ready!! We will definitely be back!! We had a wonderful stay! Virginia was incredibly responsive and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. The house itself was great—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped—but the real standout was the amazing view and the outdoor space. Our family especially loved spending time outside; it quickly became a favorite hangout spot. This home was absolutely perfect for hosting my son's graduation celebration, and it helped make the occasion even more special. Highly recommend!
