The Gathering Place is the perfect place to get away and gather with family and friends. The resort is located conveniently between Bardstown, Louisville, and Frankfort on the Bourbon Trail. Offseason hiking, fireplace, and hot tub make a great peaceful getaway or work from "home" experience. Enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, bird/deer watching and relaxing. The owners have been Resort guests for years and now own a cottage to enjoy and share with family, friends, and guests.

Sweet Hollow Farm

Sweet Hollow Farm is located near Taylorsville Lake. 30 miles from Louisville, 40 miles from Lexington and 25 from Bardstown. We have a small farm with a studio barn apartment. Private entrance with full bath. We also have a beautiful pool that we share with our guests. There is a horseshoe pit, fire pit and multiple outdoor seating areas. Kids and dogs are welcome. We even have space for horses and boats. We can offer peace and quiet, a clear view of the stars and hummingbird theatrics.

Lake access is less than a 5 minute drive, and there is a community pool just down the road when in season, and other community amenities you can enjoy. Nestled in the Bourbon Trail hills of Kentucky, rests Taylorsville Lakes only waterfront vacation community. Strategically placed; Cottage 37 sits on a ridge that overlooks the 3,050-acre lake and its 10,000 acres of wildlife preserve. The owners tried to capture the view from the kitchen table to inspire the cabins four-season theme. The wall hangings were chosen to mirror Kentucky’s beautiful hills, Derby culture, and the water of Taylorsville Lake.

Anchor Rental

As a big family of 4 kid and 8 grand-kids, we wanted a getaway cottage to run off too as a family. We would also like to share this family bonding experience with others. Cottage 59 is kid-friendly with a community playground off the back porch. The community pool is located up the road from our cottage. Our cottage can accommodate up to 8 people with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with flat screen TV's in each bedroom.
