Beautiful location and sea views with access through 2 gates taking you to the rocky bay. Huge fully fenced yard great for our dog Judge and our 3 year old son. The chest of games and toys went down a treat for both and the 3 bdrm house had everything we could need for a weekend get away. The house was also lovely and warm AND we could see the mountain from the entrance way. Would definitely come back again. Thanks for having us, great hosts!

Kate’s place is absolutely gorgeous. Right next to the powerful surging Tasman Sea with its stunning black sand beaches! We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil, quiet, private getaway to an incredible coast. Cozy, tidy and clean accommodation with lovely decor. Just wow.

The home was well appointed, built exceptionally well. We loved the central heating that kept us warm especially when the temps dropped on the first night. View of Mt Taranaki was such a treat! Kids enjoyed the garden, the trampoline. It’s a beautiful home, we felt a tad uncomfortable as it is obviously Sabine’s own home too. They welcomed us like their own! Thank you for opening your home to us.

The Pondarosa is our little piece of paradise.

We are a short drive from both Wanganui, and Kia Iwi beach , we are surrounded by farm land, so enjoy the peace and quiet, but are close enough to enjoy the many cafes and restaurants Wanganui has to offer. Take advantage of the beautiful river, our fabulous river front Saturday markets and our many specialty shops along our gorgeous main street. Great location right at the start of the trail to walk up Mount Taranaki. A tiny cabin but perfect size for 2 people. Not completely rural like the pictures show and with another cabin and barn nearby, but still private and quiet.
