Houseboat vacation rentals in South Holland

We had a lovely time in Mariette's house boat. She was very friendly and welcoming, and despite the poor weather we felt very cosy and comfortable.

Tineke's tiny boat is a very special form of overnight stay. It is located in the middle of the lake and is accessible only by boat and limited possibilities, but that makes it up. In fact, it's been the first time we went shopping on a boat 😉 We certainly haven't been there the last time and thank Tineke very much for the great care!

We had a great vacation in Katela's houseboat as a family with four older children. We particularly appreciated the direct location on the water and the excursion options.

This is a very special stay, unique and unforgettable. Amanda kept in contact before we arrived with lots of helpful tips, guidance to get there and get in. The aqua house is perfect with everything you need, very comfortable and spacious but best of all, a view of the surrounding water and nature from every angle! We arranged for the skipper to take us to a natural spot and hired the sloop too. It was worth every penny. Enjoyed evening sloop trips, swims and just relaxing on the terrace, watching the birds and local wildlife. We now have a number of friends wishing to book having seen our pictures of this very special place in The Netherlands. Can’t recommend it enough!

The small houseboat in the middle of the marina is really cute and the narrow space has been used excellently. There were three of us and we got along great with the place. However, we were only there for three nights - if you stay longer, you may have problems accommodating a lot of luggage. We didn't miss anything in the kitchen. The bathroom is even larger than expected, the shower has sufficient pressure. The beds are comfortable. However, the walls are quite noisy. The view into the harbor from the small balcony is a dream. Opposite, however, is a sailing school. The children there did not bother us - but those who are sensitive to noise should know. In the evening, however, it was quiet. A small shop with delicious rolls is easily accessible. We were very happy to be there!

The best accommodation!!!

Mandy’s place was exactly as described and was really well equipped - the sauna was a great bonus. It was really clean and the surrounding lake was a great place to take a break from the bustle of central Amsterdam, as well as the town of Aalsmeer having everything you need for a relaxing break. 10/10 wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We felt very comfortable. Great nature everywhere, very quiet, swimming and especially an ideal starting point for bike tours. Restaurants and supermarket nearby. I'm sure we'll be back.

The weekend was great. I would recommend the accommodation at any time. If there is something to clarify, the landlords respond immediately.

What an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The space was perfect for the four of us to relax in with plenty of seating options inside and out. The view across the lake is wonderful and we spent many hours just reading on the decking or watching the ducks and boats go by. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook ourselves a meal, but there's also lovely restaurants within walking distance. Marit met us on arrival and was so kind and friendly, the right amount of information given before leaving us to it. I can't recommend her and the property highly enough.

We loved staying at Robbert's! The houseboat exceeded our expectations, it was very modern and nicely decorated and perfectly equipped for an extended weekend. Check-in and check-out were super organized and above all we liked the easy communication. In addition, during our stay, the owner came by to check on things in strong winds and rain. We would love to come back soon!!

Tranquil respite as home base. We used Thomas’ home as home base for exploring Netherlands. It’s well connected to bus and trains. The neighborhood always felt safe even when walking back from the train after dark. Families with kids were often playing and talking in the street and park in the evenings. But the biggest reason you should not hesitate to book is the peacefulness of this retreat. Beautifully filled with light and art, we looked forward to the view of the park as swans glided past the windows every morning and every evening. The home is unique and unforgettable. Thomas made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. He even arranged to have basic groceries provided so we didn’t have to go shopping on arrival. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom well equipped.

Great place to stay. Very nice hosts. Highly recommend. Well suited for visiting Amsterdam.

We are a group of 3 adults with 1 child, spending 4 days in Holland for a short get-away. We had such a wonderful time. The boathouse location provided both the local adventures to areas connected to the lake and easy access to Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Hague etc. We loved spending idle time watching cows on the farms and ducks in the water as well as taking motorboat out to have dinner in all the nice restaurants within 10-20 minutes of boat ride. My child loved learning how to pilot a boat in the canal. The locals are friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay next time. The houseboat was totally cozily furnished and you had everything you need. The view is great and it was special to sleep on a houseboat. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Jari was always quick to reach for questions. Highly recommend!
