Located in a secluded unincorporated Fox River neighborhood in Kane County just a half mile from Blackhawk waterfall via bike path. The subdivision is hidden between the Jon J. Duerr and Blackhawk forest preserves.

Even though you are less than a mile from downtown St. Charles and 4 miles to the Geneva train station you have a private area. You may see deer out your window overlooking the pool and tennis. We had such a great stay here! Danielle was helpful and responsive. The sourdough she left us was a delicious surprise. The house was super clean and fully stocked with more than we could have asked for. It’s less than a mile from downtown and an easy walk to several great restaurants.

The living room area features a flat-screen TV on a black media console, with a comfortable seating arrangement that includes two black sofas and a coffee table. Soft lighting enhances the inviting atmosphere, while a colorful vase of flowers sits center stage on the table. A carpet adds warmth to the space.

We had a great stay here! It was perfect for our one-night stay while attending a wedding nearby. There were plenty of options for things to do and places to eat in the area as well as the chance to Uber to various locations. We enjoyed our time there and would stay again!

An outdoor seating area is arranged with a sectional sofa and a round table. Soft lighting is provided by string lights overhead. A barbecue grill is positioned nearby, while a rug with a geometric pattern covers the floor, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

I thought the place was quite wonderful. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. Each room was tidy and decorated beautifully. The house itself smelled amazing, and the many live plants around the place definitely attributed to that. I loved that there were many things for the children as well; the lively decor, the plethora of toys and books, and even the arcade cabinet downstairs. I also loved how child assessable the bunk bed room was; the nightlights, the easy to climb beds. The house is well equipped with much needed necessities. Would stay again. 😊

The trip was exactly what i expected. I was comfortable, relaxed, and able to enjoy the town the way i wanted.

Relaxing home on the Fox river

This location is a great stay outside of the city. It has beautiful views of the river including plenty of wildlife. The host is very considerate in providing a LOT of firewood, bottled water, blankets, and towels for guests (we did not take advantage of the tackle). The home does have a very strong smell (patchouli or lavender maybe) which I don’t particularly care for but grew used to after some time. The shower was a bit funky to use and didn’t get especially hot. Host also says there is a full kitchen (I believe in the description somewhere) but there is no oven so we had gotten a take&bake pizza prior to our arrival which we couldn’t bake 😅. A problem easily solved but it would be good to add a complete list of appliances for future reference. Bridget is very kind and responsive, we had no issues.
