Tea farm B&B (farm-to-table meals & tour included)

GeorgeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A wonderful place up in the mountains of Kyoto. You can feel the city fade away and you are enveloped by the smell of grass and sweet tea. The tea tour was extremely fun and interesting. Daiki has excellent answers to any of your questions, and the tea and food is delicious. I enjoyed it so much that I returned 2 years later. tea moon is a wonderfully restored traditional Japanese house that is cozy clean and quiet. You can wake up with a tea bath and a beautiful view of the fields. I would rate higher if possible. Worth every dollar

Designer's house

The host and the house are awesome! The host's wife is very nice, very attentive and patient in communication and guidance before and after check-in, and very caring about us!They also came to the station on the day of check-in to pick us up and take us to the house, introducing us to the surroundings and amenities all the way.Although the residence may be a little far from popular attractions, the house is great!I believe everyone feels it's worth it the moment they enter the door! Two days are not enough to experience the goodness of this home and the style of Osaka. I hope to have the opportunity to return to this home in the future!

福宿

We had a peaceful time in a very quiet place. It was a very quiet and relaxing space because there were no people around.I am very satisfied. There was a host in the next building, so you can take care of anything right away.I asked if you could turn off the LED lights with a strong amount of light when making a bonfire, and they handled it comfortably. We enjoyed the bonfire and the starry sky.

This is a private lodging limited to one group per day, where you can cook in Hanare, which is adjacent to the main house of a rice-growing farmer.

Haru San was a wonderfully warm host. From receiving and dropping me back at Shigaraki station to driving me to the Cultural park and the Maruni tool shop she was most helpful and prompt in her responses. The place is very beautiful and green and surrounded by rice fileds, hills and forests. Would love to go back in the future.

Junko’s place is beautiful and incredibly well decorated. Every aspect is taken care of to make you feel cozy and welcome. Junko was very kind and welcomed us with a ride from the train station and a tour of the place. The place is located in a very beautiful part of the country, with lots of temples, shrines, and scenic routes nearby. We also were able to easily do daytrips to Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka.

We were traveling with 2 couples and had a car. After 2 weeks of busy cities and small guesthouses, we wanted a home we could cook dinner, linger at the dinner table, sit outside and play board games. We found that surprisingly hard to find in Japan. This home was modern, comfortable and has it all to hang out as a family or small group of friends. It’s on a busy road but you don’t hear it at all. But it did let us sit outside and play mellow music and enjoy the evenings. Osam is a host in an old school way, checking in regularly to make sure you are enjoying yourself and to offer assistance. The location is relatively close to Nara Park, which is worth a day. It’s a long 1 hour drive to either Kyoto or Osaka, but we spent half days at both and were grateful to go “home” to Osam’s place at the end of the day. Worth staying 3-4 nights to relax and explore this part of Japan.
