Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Somerset County

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with some of the warmest hospitality I’ve ever experienced. The candlelit ambiance, the abundance of thoughtful amenities, and even the way the bed was made all reminded me of a four-star hotel. Liz was incredibly responsive and accommodating—especially with my dog. She even looked after him while I was briefly away, which meant so much. My stay lasted about three weeks, and every Saturday morning Liz would come by to refresh the space with clean sheets and a full cleaning. It truly felt like hospitality is something that comes naturally to her—like it’s in her DNA. Another bonus: just across the street is the Riverside Inn, which has amazing food and live country music on the weekends. I’ll absolutely be back if I’m ever in the area again, and I’ve already recommended Liz’s place to a few friends looking for a relaxing weekend getaway.

I had a lovely stay with Mauricio! He was such a kind host, very respectful, and incredibly accommodating. The house is in a peaceful neighborhood with beautiful surroundings, and the room is super comfortable! All the common spaces are shared with other housemates who are also all very respectful. The kitchen has all the appliances you need for cooking, and there’s a washer and dryer just next to it. The shared bathroom has a clothing iron and extra blankets. I’m so appreciative of Mauricio for hosting me in his home! Highly recommend!

The house is on a beautiful street that is secluded but not far from anything you need. The yard is fenced which is useful for our dog and overall the house was large, clean, comfortable and had anything we needed for our stay. The host was very communicative and check-in/out was simple. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Jalay was very friendly and responsive. Easy to check in. The room was a good size with a super comfy bed. Big plus for the attached bathroom to the bedroom. Would highly recommend for a short stay.

My husband and I needed a house to rent in the area of Kelly’s house. I was attracted to her home by the pictures of the inside. I found them to be accurate. Kelly was exceptionally easy and accommodating to work with. We found the home very pricy for the neighborhood it was in. We had to buy a tv for the master bedroom as there wasn’t one. All in all it was a good experience!

Parking ln-front of the house was a beautiful touch, spacious home, spectacular bathrooms (blue led light is a nice touch as well). book this home while you can! you’re awesome peter!

A great place. Convenient, easy walk to a number of local businesses, yet feels private and quiet. Tam is an excellent host, responsive and very helpful. Place is very comfortable, clean and convenient. Highly recommend!

My husband and I (and our little dog Kiwi) truly enjoyed our stay at Elliot’s garden apartment. The location is fantastic - just a quick walk to all the shops and restaurants yet the street is in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. We loved the deck views of the creek and it was great having the backyard and garden patio for the dog. Elliot was a great host -he gave us suggestions for restaurants and we were able to meet he and his adorable dog Foxxy when we arrived. The home is just as it appears in the listing and was very clean and comfortable. The steps to the garden and down to the yard were not a problem for us (or our dog) and the parking spot is directly across from the door on the street level which is helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book Elliot’s place again!

Used this space for the weekend and me and my partner couldn’t be happier. Very nice interior with up to date appliances and nice basic house amenities available. Peaceful area and not difficult to get to from the city at all, would recommend!

Super cozy & very clean place. Beautiful view from the balcony that faces the river. We had our own assigned parking spot right in front which was very convenient. Walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. Lovely place, perfect for a couple or even a family with 1 child. They had their own cute little touches like snacks and water bottles in the kitchenette, a bottle of wine for us, and even had good soaps in the shower and bathroom. Elyse was also very friendly and helpful with questions! Would definitely stay again!

This place is SPOTLESS and exceeded my expectations! The pictures truly show the space, and it's perfect for exploring NYC. Everything is nearby, and the Airbnb is fully equipped with all the appliances you need. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the NYC!!

Self-check-in with code received via the app, so unfortunately I never met Dina. Unit was absolutely immaculate, with plenty of clean towels and linens, coffee, tea, and video games! There were also several TV networks/apps available. In addition, there is a nice walking trail in the nearby park, only two doors down at the dead-end of this block. Great location near parks and thriving downtown with pubs and restaurants!

We had such a great time with ample space to relax and/or to play family activities! Scenic location! Also a great location to get to and from other destinations! ie Legoland, American Dream Mall etc. !!

My family of 7 (all adults) enjoyed our stay at Vinny’s beautiful home on the Delaware River. What a great location! The living-room was full of comfy seating and was spacious enough to spread out but also to socialize. Vinny allowed us to host a post-Thanksgiving brunch so we could enjoy some time with cousins in PA. We’re so grateful! This house was absolutely perfect for that, Christmas tree included! As others mentioned, be prepared to slow down and find the driveway when arriving. And yes, it’s a steep one, but you’ll make it. :-) Vinny was super friendly, quick to respond. Thanks, again!

I booked this property as a kind of ad hoc writing retreat. It was the perfect location to complete what work I needed to do. A quick drive into Sparta for restaurants and supplies also made this a great location.

My 12 year old son and I stayed here for 2 nights. It is exactly as advertised. My son enjoyed fishing and kayaking on the picturesque lake. The surroundings are scenic and tranquil. I enjoyed watching the gorgeous sunrises over the lake while drinking my espresso. We enjoyed the fire pit as the sun set and the stars came out. If you like nature and quiet as well as a clean house this place is ideal. I would come back here anytime.

This was my first time renting an airbnb and boy did our gracious host Noemi set the bar high! If you are the type that can appreciate an 1840’s cottage in a town rich with American history, stop right here and BOOK this location. You will not be disappointed. The house is full of charm, the town (straight 10 minute walk to the heart of new hope) is majestic and did I say our host was amazing? She was and we cannot wait to go back!

Wonderful lakefront getaway. Nicely secluded, right on the water, very clean and welcoming property! Saying hi to the horses on our hikes was a nice addition…

We had a fantastic stay! It was the perfect place to have a weekend gathering of life-long friends. It was plenty of space for 7 adults and 4 teenage kids. The cabin is peaceful, spacious, beautiful, and very clean. A major highlight was the outdoor hot tub. Even though it was cold and snowing, the kids spent lots of time in the hot tub -- and the adults got to spend some time there too. The renovated basement filled with rec games was also great. The bedrooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. We had one issue, when the hot water stopped working, and the hosts were very responsive and came right over to fix it. They also made sure that the driveway and stairs were plowed and salted after a snow storm. We loved the experience and hope to come back again!
