We just returned after a fantastic week in Fredrik's house on Storholmen, Stockholm. It is a real home with a wonderfully welcoming and personal atmosphere. Lots of books and games and maps and nice places to sit in the sun or shade playing board games and read - both inside and outside. We swam and rowed in Fredrik's boats and ran round the island clockwise and anti-clockwise. A truly memorable and special place. My warmest recommendations!! Claus DK

Katarina is an amazing host who is kind, showed us around, gave us tips and was very helpful at all times. The cottage was magical, exactly as described. We spent the most of the time grilling outside the cottage with the lake view. It was a really relaxing weekend and we definitely recommend Katarina as a host! Our stay at this unforgettable Airbnb on Varholma was truly a dream come true. Nestled in a peaceful and remote location, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life—a true haven for slowing down and reconnecting with nature. The house itself is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with cozy Scandinavian interiors and so much attention to detail. Every corner feels warm, inviting, and filled with love. Whether it’s raining or the sun is shining, this place offers the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. And the sunsets? Simply breathtaking. Sitting outside in the evening, watching the sky turn golden over the water, was an experience we’ll never forget. We can’t recommend this magical spot enough!

We loved our stay! The location is beautiful with nice walks nearby. The cottage is very well equipped. The sauna and wharf are picturesque. Ulla and Karl-Gustav are the most fantastic hosts. Very kind, responsive and available but also respect the space. We would love to come back!

Wow!! Incredible house in Sweden, only 35 minutes from Stockholm. We wish we could've stayed longer in Naomi's gorgeous house which has a pool, sauna, trampoline, many board games and beautiful views all around. Our family of five loved every minute of our time here. Naomi was incredibly kind and accommodating, and was always quick to help when we needed it. Thank you Naomi, we hope to return again soon!!

A very nice house. We took it very clean and ordered the final cleaning separately, which is highly recommended for the sizes of the house. The contact with Fredrika was exclusively online, always very nice. We were 4 adults and 3 children, but the 5 rooms with sleeping facilities were great. At least the two bigger beds were a little too soft for us, but that's a habit. Complete decor of the house, we didn't lack anything. Outside a nice little pool and a gas grill. It's only a 10-minute walk to the well-attended beach in the village, as well as to the bus stop. From there you can reach the center of Stockholm in 25 minutes. A shopping mall is close by too. We had a great stay and highly recommend the house.

We had such an amazing time. The house was a few minutes walk from the sea and a lovely beach area. There was a lovely walk way along the water that took you into the forest. The house was lovely. So well equipped with everything you would need. Absolutely amazing. We will definitely come back. Maria was such a helpful host, very responsive and helpful which really made our stay even better.

Helena's house met our expectations in every way. It is located in a residential area, very nice and quiet. We even had the chance to spot a rabbit in the garden😊. Stockholm city center is very quickly accessible, the tram passes just down the street. We enjoyed the quality of the amenities, the space in the house and the neat decoration, with beautiful pieces of Scandinavian design. We also had a great time in the garden: morning coffee on the terrace, lunch in the sun and end of the day in the spa It's a very nice place that we recommend without reservation. Helena was always responsive and attentive to the comfort of our stay.

We had a wonderful stay here as a family of 4 (2 teens). Everything is as described in this large comfortable home. We didn’t have a car so the location is fantastic for an archipelago and city holiday. Highlights - the sun filled lounge area with the hot tub and the peaceful garden - less then 10 min walk to beach area with diving boards and an amazing bakery/cafe; hot food truck and sweet shop - One evening we used the ToGoodToGo app for the bakery and picked up an amazing surprise bag for less than €5 - 5 min walk to a huge mall area with multiple grocery shops and restaurants. - We walked into Gustavsberg along a beautiful forest walk which took about 40 mins - 20 mins by bus into Stockholm (433 or 434 bus). It’s easy to miss the stop on the way back so best to get off at the shopping centre or the bakery. - A very minor point if it’s important to you, no hairdryer so bring a travel one!

If you could give 10 stars, we would. The place is fantastic. Even nicer than in the pictures. Helena and Magnus are wonderful hosts who leave nothing to be desired. Whether sauna, a hot bath in the Jacuzzi or the best tips for the area, you get everything from them. For us an absolute plus: the cozy construction trailer, a few meters to the lake and - oh - just everything.

Great villa in a small town with nice swimming pool and jacuzzi. A really wonderful place to relax. And yust ten minutes walk to a station that brings you to the centre of Stockholm. Sometimes there are planes coming over but I was the only one in my family noticing them. The host Simon does everything he can to give you and your family a wonderful stay. My kids loved this place, for them it was the best of Sweden.

Eva and her family were very welcoming hosts. We had everything we needed and more during our stay at their beautiful and special place. We even enjoyed a bath in the pool. We had a lovely view from the terrace and the surrounding is also nice and green and with good restaurants. Thank you for having us!

Peaceful place and in the heart of nature, Karin welcomes you in a typically Swedish atmosphere. The accommodation has all the comforts and accessories you need to make your stay enjoyable and if you're lucky, you'll even come across a young deer in front of your door while you're only 25 minutes from the heart of Stockholm by public transport.

It's a corner of paradise for those who love nature. The calm, the softness of the place, the view, everything is relaxing and conducive to contemplation. We had a refreshing stay as we dreamed of. We'd love to go back! The house is functional and it feels good. There is comfort. The hot tub is an amazing plus. If you like peace and quiet, this is a place for you.

We liked the location very much. The center of Stockholm or the archipelago can be reached optimally by ferry from the Hasseludden stop (10 min by car ride, free parking).

Very nice and calm place. I enjoyed the stay. Nice host. The walk from train to the house through the wood is very nice and not too long, when being equipped with sneakers and backpack instead of suitcase.

As a family of four, we had a wonderful time in Madeleine's beautiful cottage! Her husband Michael picked us up by boat and then went shopping for groceries with us, including specialty recommendations; we couldn't have had a better start to the Christmas holidays. The house is exactly as described, as are the amenities. If we had any questions, we could always contact Michael or Madeleine. The view of the water is fantastic and the ferry ride to Stockholm is a highlight for the whole family. In short, we will be happy to come back and highly recommend this place!
