Great host, great accommodation.

This is a great place to stay to really appreciate the power and beauty of Norway’s fjord country. The house is a fifteen minute drive or taxi trip (ask Bekka for the number) from the wharf where the ferry docks, set on a hill above the main road. That position allows the visitor to take in the wider scenery of the dramatic hills and expanses of water. The views, from the living room and the window upstairs, are nothing short of spectacular. The well-signposted network of walks in the area has an easy branch that you can pick up on the hill just above the house. That walk was one of the highlights of our fortnight in Scandinavia. It is a gentle stroll with a few steep bits at the edge of a Norwegian forest, with gorgeous lookouts all along the way. The house itself is a lovely warm farmhouse. Spacious, with generous bedrooms and an excellent kitchen. Strongly recommended.

We had a great stay at Siv's lovely place. The house is very tastefully furnished and has a stunning view of the fjord and the mountains. It was beautiful in any weather. As we visited over Christmas, there were even very cute decorations. Siv and John were very helpful with any questions we had. Siv even alerted us to the northern lights - we would have missed them otherwise! We also enjoyed taking trips to Molden, Urnes and Lustrabadet. All in all, we highly recommend this lovely place!

Malin and Pavel are really great hosts that put a lot of effort and goes the extra mile to ensure you have a perfect stay, which we had! Absolutely recommended place to stay for anyone who wants to stay in or near Sogndal - the place itself will give you a great vacation!

Staying here was an incredible experience. My wife and I were in awe of the spectacular views of the tranquil fjord, the snow-capped mountains around us, and the gushing waterfall next to the house. We used the kitchen a lot during our stay and immediately fell in love with it. It is the best stocked airbnb kitchen we have come across. Cooking in it felt so natural and everything was easy to find. The living room was also a highlight- it is spacious and, as the description says, it easily fits several guests but it still felt cozy with only us two. And of course, the hot tub was perfect to relax in on cold and windy evenings as the sun went down. It is clear Hans and Emily have put so much care and thoughtfulness into making this cabin a home for their guests. Their attentiveness extends beyond the house too and when the conditions were right to see the northern lights, they eagerly messaged us to make sure we didn't miss it. Every moment we spent here was a delight.

We enjoyed the house very much. It is very large and lovingly decorated and very well equipped. The seats on the terrace are also very nice, as is the view of the fjord. You can reach Sogndal in a few minutes by car, where there are many shopping opportunities. Tom and Kari are wonderful hosts. We would definitely book the house again.

Excellent accommodation! View of the fjord & mountains from the apartment was spectacular. We felt right at home. Eldbjørg was very helpful with a short notice rental. Very clean. Shops are only 5min away. We would definitely stay again!

Great Appartment for a family. Location was according to expectations and perfect for us. I specially liked the short distance to the grocery shop :-).

I recommend 100% this apartment: The vue is amazing, easy to find, not far from other places (hikes or city for groceries). Really clean, the kitchen has all you need, the beds are comfortable. Also, you can use their charger for the car which is great! Really I don’t see anything negative here. It was great, I which I could stay longer.

We enjoyed our stay at Marte‘s apartment. The apartement was spacious and clean. The terrace is a highlight. It is big with a lot of possibilities to sit there and enjoy the view. Marte was a considerate and friendly host.

This is a wonderful apartment with stunning views of the mountains and fjord. The location is excellent, right in town, close to amenities, yet very quiet. Kai was promptly responsive when we had a few questions and gave clear instructions. This was definitely one of our favorite places in the world to stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Inger is a wonderful host with suggestions on activities to do in the area as well as where to dine and shop. As we were staying the weekend prior to Easter it was great to get the timely info that most things close Thursday and Friday prior to the weekend so we could plan accordingly. We enjoyed the apartment so much that we stayed an additional day and would have stayed longer had travel plans allowed. Immensely enjoyed speaking with her and learning about the area and some insights into Norway. A great place to relax and recharge with the stunning views. Will fondly remember this place and hope to visit again.
