Cabin vacation rentals in Smugglers Notch

The HideBehind was the perfect weekend getaway! We wanted something peaceful and private close to other parts of Vermont we wanted to visit. Everything about the cabin was perfect, it was clean, had helpful instructions and recommendations, and Scott and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. The hot tub and electric fire were easy to use and made our stay 100% more enjoyable. This is a place I would definitely recommend, and I myself would come back again!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Leslie's cabin. The setting was peaceful and beautifully maintained—a perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, especially with the thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It's even better than the photos! We would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended!

My stay is hard to review. Was looking so forward to this weekend getaway but was battle tested with sickness and terrible weather. Nothing bad to say about the listing just bad timing making it hard to fully enjoy. I would highly recommend this stay otherwise as it was definitely capable of providing what I had wanted. Jon and Sergios haven of a lake house felt like stepping into a nautical dream with a splash of luxury and a whole lot of adventure. Clean, cozy, and stocked like a ship ready to sail. Nautical vibes all around made it feel like a captain's retreat. Stargazing from a bubbling hot tub quickly became the nightly ritual. Pure bliss. Not too far from a super Hannaford and we were also a tiny drive from the most wildly beautiful river rafting canyon I’ve ever seen.

Not sure if it was the mattress, the sheets and quilt, the pillows, the Vermont woods, Vermont fresh air, or the rain hitting the roof… maybe all of it… but, my husband and I have not slept so well in… maybe EVER! Rob’s home is super comfy and dog friendly. The hot tub is a nice feature and works wonderfully. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful location for your visit, this hits all the marks. Sitting outside with your morning coffee is a treat. If weather doesn’t cooperate, recommend sitting in the den in front of the picture window. Our old dog truly appreciated exploring the fenced yard, and we loved allowing him off off-leash. Great place to stay!

We had a lovely and relaxing stay. The cabin and surrounding property are beautiful, and Evangelyn was a wonderful host. If you’re looking for a peaceful, “home away from home” getaway, this is just the place.

We absolutely loved our stay in this cabin! The hosts were very clear with instructions, offered some great ideas for local spots to check out. The cabin was clean and lovely! Highly recommend!! We hope to come back again soon!

We loved Rebecca and Josh's place! The outdoor surroundings were serene and we loved how the place felt tucked away. We were weren't there long enough to explore any trails but we want to come back! There were many thoughtful touches to the place, and fire starters/fire wood provided for us. The hot tub was very relaxing! The inside of the house was decorated very artsy and tastefully! Definitely would recommend :)

The cabin was absolutely perfect for us. The dogs were able to be unleashed… of course they were under voice control, but they were happy. And so were we. Definitely relaxing, clean, and quiet. Nice place! Views were extraordinary!

Merle was/is an excellent host. Great communication throughout our stay. Definitely won’t be the last time we go there. Beautiful scenery and wonderful landscapes. We requested some wood for fire pit and there was a small pile waiting for us when we arrived. Super host and we would highly recommend to others. Jeff & Jen

We loved this sweet cabin overlooking Curtis Pond. Great screened in porch, well-stocked kitchen, games, barbecue and fire pit. A great spot to relax and take advantage of VT summer.

We had an amazing stay at the Waldhaus. It’s so quiet and serene, and we loved the view from the huge picture windows in the living room. Our kids felt right at home with the bunk beds and puzzles/activities. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. We hope to return soon!

The cabin was very nice and clean! Great views right on the beautiful lake! I would definitely recommend staying here! It is close to shopping but at the same time tucked away in the woods for privacy. The host allowed us to check in early and responded in a timely manner when we sent messages. We would definitely stay here again!

Had a beautiful time with my family and dogs! Beautiful home and surrounding views. The fire place inside and fire pit outside was a lovely thing. Absolutely no service but WiFi connectivity was excellent. Pre save your destination before leaving the house.

My husband and I were looking for a romantic/peaceful getaway for our anniversary this year and this fit in every way. The photos don’t do the view justice. Absolutely stunning. The apple trees were in bloom and smelled amazing, the whole atmosphere was perfect. The cabin was beautiful and rustic, but also very clean. The cows across the street were adorable to watch as well. We went to local places to eat that had great food! Travis was super friendly and polite and his pup Winni was adorable. We felt right at home for being away from home. My husband and I highly recommend this spot for the perfect getaway!!

My stay was wonderful. The surrounding area was incredibly beautiful. It was a peaceful place to get away from day-to-day life.

The cabin was just what we needed. It was close to skiing and loved the bunk beds for my two kids. The bathroom was a little small but worked great for the few days we were there. It was clean and had everything we needed. We would love to check this place out when we can use the lake. :)

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at the camp. It was such a beautiful, peaceful, and idyllic setting where we could walk, hike, enjoy the sunsets and fire pit, and relax on the the screened in porch. It was a great base for a couple of day trips as well short drives to St. Albans and the Burlington area for dining. Everything was very well done and as advertised.

The whole trip was fantastic and Jonathan was a great host, answering all of our questions with speedy responses and having the cabin stuffed with board games, extra blankets, and even a little stash of good coffee in the freezer. Thank you again for an amazing time!

We were here for 10 days. The cabin was perfect. The views and area were beautiful. Benny and Carol communicated with us and made sure that we were comfortable. We can’t wait to go back next year!

Lovely house and the host was amazing. She was very nice, replied quick, and very helpful. Beautiful house with great views and very secluded. Everything was spotless and it included anything you would need. Very cozy. Great experience 100% coming back.
