Cottage vacation rentals in Šmarje pri Jelšah

We stayed here for a week in October. Although the outside temperatures were already cooler, the pool was still heated at our request. A service that is not a matter of course. When we no longer needed the pool, we also turned it off ourselves to save electricity to save electricity. Matic was always available and always inquired. Recommended any time.

The accommodation is simply fantastic. 🤩 We felt super comfortable right away, everything was very well furnished and equipped. The perfectly clean and heated pool, the indescribably beautiful view, the great Jacuzzi... we don't know where to stop. Everything was as described or even better. There are many opportunities to do things in the area. Nevertheless, the accommodation is very quiet and private. Let's get to Emanuela and Slavko. We have rarely experienced such amazing hosts. Every question was responded to immediately and you always felt you could ask every question. The two are such warm and loving people who have made an enormous contribution to making our stay there just perfect. Finally, we would like to mention the outstanding breakfast, which we will miss very much. Thank you both for your hospitality!

The house is in a beautiful location, among the hills. The hosts live in another house on the farm, they were around if we needed something, but never intrusive. The farm is near the woods, the nearest big supermarket is about half an hour away. It wasn't a problem for us, the roads can be easily travelled by car, even in rain. We travelled with a 1-year old baby and we had everything we needed. Lots of toys for the children, cows, bunnies, cats and we especially loved the friendly dog, Lucky :) We had a wonderful time, Janja's family made us feel like home. She was incredibly nice and attentive, made it possible for us to really relax. Her hospitality was touching and the home-made groceries were extra delicious :) We hope we can return some day.

Great experience! Staying at Stanki's place was really memorable. Just upon arrival we were blown away by the outstanding cleanliness of the accommodation – everything was impeccably decorated. Stanka is extremely friendly, welcoming, and always reachable if you need anything, while also respecting guests' privacy. The sauna and jacuzzi were the dots at i – relaxing in this peaceful setting was a real pampering. The surroundings are beautifully peaceful, ideal to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I was especially happy that my pup enjoyed it too – he had company of Stank's friendly puppy the entire stay, which was really hearty. The entire stay was extremely pleasant and homey – I really felt at home. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for peace, comfort and genuine hospitality!

OMG OMG, this place is amazing. Completely private in a beautiful area in the hills. This is what hospitality should look like. Nikolina enabled us earlier check in and proactively offered late check out. Everything is clean and there’s lots of stuff to do. We grilled and used the sauna. The breakfast basket is to die for. It’s great for couples but we’re planning on bringing the kids next time as well. We did walks everyday, it’s quiet hilly but managable. Definitely the best place we’ve stayed so far.

We had a lovely stay in this cottage! Daniel organized the necessary amenities for our infant daughter. The view and the surroundings are very peaceful. Daniel has a passion for woodwork, which is clear from the interior design, very nice materials were used. One tip for navigating, Google Maps works much better than Waze, unless you like an adventure <:o)

We had an great stay! The space was spacious, spotless, and perfectly suited for our family. Our kids absolutely loved the outdoor area—especially the zipline and all the friendly animals. One of the highlights was when the host took them on a walk with the goats, and grinding corn for the chickens. We also opted for the daily breakfast and it was well worth it—each morning we were treated to a delicious local spread with meats, cheeses, homemade bread, and fresh eggs from the host’s chickens and ducks. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help or offer tips. The surrounding forest was stunning and perfect for peaceful hikes. We couldn’t have asked for a better stat and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, especially families.

Lovely large place that is completely secluded. In the middle of the mountains, great views and with a nice spa to relax. The host is very friendly and helpful. There were two of us with our dog, but there is still plenty of room for more people. We would come back anytime! :)

Martin's place was amazing. Perfectly located amongs tranquil hills of a Slovenian village. Plenty of space for a family of 3 or 4, well equipped, cosy. Surrounding was perfect for a peaceful vacation. We especially enjoyed sitting around fire in the evening. I definitely recommend it!

We loved staying at the hut. it has all the amenities of a big house. We did sauna, went walking, played at the playground at Rogla, one can go to terme Zrece. it is a really great exit point. the host is great, she was very responsive and we had great communication. I warmly recommend the place.

Nice village house, clean and spacious. We were 4 adults and there was plenty of space. There was a big bathroom and a very nice and well-equipped kitchen. The location was great for day trips to Maribor, Ptuj and Celje. The keys were in a key box, so we didn't meet the host, messages were answered quickly, and everything went well.

Wonderful place and total tranquility. This is where we headed to ski to Rogla and Areh. All of them are about 40 minutes away, it was a pleasure to relax and arrive here after a day of skiing like this. The ták and the neighborhood and the place are really cozy and you can see that the hosts have been lovingly styled.

A sweet little cottage in beautiful nature, a peaceful and quiet location, perfect for a getaway, relaxation, and recharging energy. Beautiful views of the hills, vineyards, and greenery. Wonderful sunsets and a stunning, sparkling starry sky like we haven't seen in years! This is just one of the breath-taking features of the location. The house is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I believe it's especially beautiful in other seasons when most of the time can be spent outdoors. Janez is an excellent host, friendly and quick to respond. We would definitely love to return.

What can I say? I’ve been wanting to book this beautiful old mill for a couple of years but it’s always booked when we’re coming and now I can see why! Such a stunning location on the banks of the River Krka. The house is well thought out and was super comfortable for our family of five. The welcome from Vid’s dad was great and we immediately felt right at home. The weather was extremely hot so we mostly lazed around in the garden and swam in the river in between watching kingfishers, herons and swans going about their business. The projector was a hit with the teens and worked well with our Apple TV. Eating on the deck with a beautiful sunset each night was a highlight, as was the outstanding star watching.

Comfortable country house next to the stream, beautiful garden on the edge of the woods, pure air. The only sound you could hear at night was the water flowing over the stones. Host always available and attentive to guests' needs. Perfect for those with children in tow and for those who love nature and walks. Unforgettable stay!

A realy nice old cottage on a hill near the forest. Superhost and very good equiped.

It was a wonderful experience, we stayed there one night with our three children who had a great time both exploring the surrounding nature and with the games available inside the house. Elizabeta left us some fresh eggs and a wine of their own production as a gift inside the fridge! It's definitely a place you want to come back to, we had a great time.

We were there to celebrate our niece's 30th birthday, so there were quite a number of people coming and going. We had enough bedrooms to accommodate everyone. The house was lovely - with loads of space either to be alone or for groups of people to eat, or gather together and the gardens and view are sublime.
