A well maintained house surrounded by a beautiful garden. The living space/kitchen is located in a green house filled with gorgeous succulents and cacti. There is plenty of light, needless to say. Keeping the green house at a constant temperature requires learning to operate the remote that controls the heating/cooling by a mini/split heat pump. Downtown is reachable on foot. There you will find great restaurants, shops and an upscale hippieish food COOP.

We loved staying here for the weekend. The fenced backyard was bigger than we thought for our dog. Would stay here again.

We loved this stay! It was exactly as described and was the perfect spot for us in all of our travels. The house was super cute and clean. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Derek was a good host that was easy to communicate with. The house was comfortable and welcoming with all the nautical decor. It was bigger than we thought. The kitchen had all the amenities needed to cook. The downstairs game room was great. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was nice and there was plenty of off street parking with a nice fenced in back yard.

We LOVED our time here! Such a perfect house in the most gorgeous area. Aslan was so kind and helpful with all my annoying questions haha. It was a perfect spot for our first family vacation with our 8 month old!

We enjoyed this unique and very quiet and peaceful place on Guemes Island. The greenhouse was one of our favorite places to spend time, except for during the hottest part of the day. The swinging chairs were the best! On cold afternoons and evenings, the woodstove made the space cozy, and hearing and seeing the rain on the greenhouse windows was lovely too. The huge, fully fenced yard was the biggest selling point for us and it was nice to be able to let our dogs wander in the tall meadow grass and smell all the good smells. We tried out both beds and found the inside bed to be more comfortable. About the only drawback according to my husband (the cook) was the pots and pans selection. We also experienced some low water pressure in the shower but neither of these things would prevent us from coming back. Thank you, Michael, for accepting all of our dogs!

Photos do not do this place justice! The decor and finishes at this cabin are like brand new. The deck affords a sunny view of the marshy field where wildlife abounds, while you sit and drink your morning coffee. There is an ample sized yard for kids and dogs to play and stretch. All around the property, inside and out, has whimsical touches of cabin life. If we visit north Widbey Island in the future, we would definitely stay here again.

A pleasant and cozy cabin tucked away in the serene embrace of Guemes Island. This is a restorative getaway that will sweep the floorboards of your mind. The cabin is full of creature comforts and equipped in a way that is not commonly found in Airbnb's. It may only really be described as special, enjoy.

Irene’s place was a beautiful setting for relaxing during a long weekend. We enjoyed waking up and going to sleep with the water views. The home was well equipped and very accommodating. Great location too, close to tulips, deception pass and more.

This was our second time staying at the Cabin and it was a great experience! Enjoyed being here over the holidays and having a quiet private space to relax. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The off-grid electrical system worked well during our stay. Rachel and Sarah were great hosts and very responsive to any questions we had.

This location was better than I could have hoped for. Quaint, not so secluded where you'd be scared to be in the middle of the woods but private enough to feel like you are. And the host was able to accommodate some changes I had regarding my families stay. Very quick to respond. I 100% would, and plan on, staying again

We loved our stay! Great location to many day adventures, and a close drive to Bow/Edison area with delicious food options. The camper was perfect and had everything we needed to be cozy - outdoor propane fire, string lights, cozy beds and extra blankets, outdoor bathroom and shower option, beautifully crafted sauna, wind chime, tea kettle and the sounds of nature at night. The host was welcoming and friendly, great communication, and they even had a ball and a water bowl for our dog when we arrived. The goats were also a plus. We would love to come back in the future when exploring the area again!

Host was very sweet and eager to communicate instructions over messages. Looks like she’s getting started and it will only become a cooler and more unique ground to stay at. We showed up late due to work and host was just fine with that and wished us good night in messages. Nice private bathroom with a little couch and sink in a building for use as well. Wish we had time to explore the 5 acres we heard about. Very beautiful trees and safe location. There will most likely be other people camping, but it just makes it safer. Really cool sweet lately who takes pride on swift communication.

We loved staying in this cottage. It was perfectly cozy and in a beautiful area. The hosts made sure to take care of us and were very responsive. I would stay here again, next time we are in the area.

We had a great time in this charming cabin. Beautiful location and private. Very well stocked kitchen. The wood fired hot tub was a fun adventure. Sarah was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

This place is beautiful decorated. It was very comfortable for two adults and a toddler. Having a crib was a major plus for us. But it don’t have a bathtub for little ones. It has an amazing location and backyard with lots for fun things for kids. It was well stocked with good smelling soap in bathroom and in general. I’m very glad the back door was left unlocked when we arrived later in the evening because I don’t think we would have figured out how to use the digital keypad.

An amazing cabin on the river with incredible comfort. We loved the hot tub. An incredibly serene and peaceful environment.

Really enjoyed! Everything was perfect... we will stay here again if ever back in the area. peaceful and relaxing setting... just what we were after. cozy and homie with amenities provided. 5 stars!

My family of 4 stayed at this house to attend a wedding at the resort. The neighborhood is private and peaceful. We saw lots of deer in the area. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were comfortable and we loved the hot tub. Guemes Island is a great place to relax year round and this home was perfect for us.

Amazing stay! Was a great location within a short drive to the Roozengaarden. Enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub and kitchen was stocked so we were able to cook. Would highly recommend!

We fell in love with Guemes Island! We could not be more grateful to stay in such a wonderful and peaceful spot. We hope to visit The Woodpecker many more times over the years! Our 18 month old son had the time of his life playing on the beaches and coming home to such an inviting atmosphere. 1000 out of 10. Would recommend to any and all !

Vanessa is potentially the greatest host of all time!!! Ultra responsive and made my fishing trip with my teen boys that much more awesome!
