Vacation rentals in Skaapkraal

We had a fantastic stop over at Kitty's Place. peaceful and tranquil surroundings. We had the entire house. Kitty was a superhost. Beds were comfy, linen was clean and fresh. We felt right at home after a superb home-cooked meal provided by Kitty.

This is the perfect midway stop over for a family or group (including dog) travelling between Joburg and the Eastern Cape. Celeste has gone out of her way to make the place quirky and memorable while at same time ensuring your comfort and safe surroundings. The stoep is a perfect place for an evening braai and to relax after a long drive. The huge interior has many interesting objects from past days while the 4 private bedrooms (2 en-suite) are large and comfortable. The road infrastructure along this route is in excellent condition for travel and passes through magnificent scenic locations. The historic town of Aliwal North with its rejuvenated hot spring spa is a 20 minute drive away. A must visit for the adventurous traveler!

Cameron, Chris and Karen were amazing hosts - very friendly, hospitable, warm and welcoming! The Bobotie we had which was made by Chris and the Brownsies for dessert made by Cameron was delicious. Overall, the accommodation was everything you needed for a stop over, highly recommend. 😃

We had nice and interesting stay. The house is so cosy and full of beautiful details. Sue is the best host ever. She told us everything about the amazing house and is truly the nicest person on earth. She gave us a warm welcome. We could have talked to her forever.

This exceeded my expectations, everything is 10 times better than what you see on the pictures, it is so peaceful and private, I highly recommend and would definitely go back again….. Also the road to the cabin is as clear as stated you will never get lost, it’s only 1hr away from Bloemfontein

Don was very helpful and communicative when we got stuck on the way with a flat tyre. The next day he called in someone to help us change the tyre. his place was very clean and the furniture was of high quality. Recommended.

Great place with a nice quiet house and lovely staff. Will definitely recommend to anyone and most likely go back in the future.

Jana was an excellent host and so friendly. The place was so well set up, clean and had plenty of guidance on how to use everything. A huge thank you for making the start of our honeymoon a great one as well with champagne and chocolate on the bed for us to celebrate.

The farm stay is a trip into memory lane if you ever had the privilege to stay or visit farms of old. Quite area very nice views and the soft farm sounds of sheep calling. This with all the amenities that you may need for a stay over. The host is very friendly and efficient and goes out of her way to help. If you have not stayed on a farm this place is well worth a first time.
