We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

The house is truly something special. The interior and design of the house is super tasteful and combines traditional Crete with modern elements. Everything in the house was spotless and brand-new. The view from the terrace was breathtaking and the courtyard was very cosy. We can only recommend this gem of house at Crete. The location is a little remote but perfect to relax and enjoy Crete off the beaten paths. We hope we will come back. Also the village where the house is located is so picturesque. Amazing local tavern with great authentic food are in walking distance.

The outdoor area is just perfect, great seating, mega pool also for kids and with the spa whirlpool just a paradise! Not to forget this beautiful view of the sunset 🤩 Not only is the accommodation perfect, but the hosts, Maria and Savas, are also great hosts! Friendly and courteous, and always available! They brought toys for my son and despite the fierce challenge with the Sahara dust, they did everything to make sure we can enjoy our vacation 100% 😊 We are already looking forward to our next visit to Crete and to Maria 🥰 Thank you for everything!

Dream accommodation for a quiet vacation outside of tourist areas! Pompia is an authentic village of about 1000 inhabitants. You will especially come across locals while walking around the village and going to restaurants 2 min walk away. The apartments are perfectly suitable for cooking and the thick walls make them cool spaces. The setting is peaceful with a roof terrace and beautiful sunsets to watch. It's clearly a gem!

A little piace of heaven! This is not just an incredibly beautiful villa with a gorgeous garden and pool. There comes so much more with this stunning location, from the peaceful surroundings to Irina's attention to detail and kindness. If you are looking for a place to relax, recharge and enjoy Crete far from tourist spots in complete privacy this is your place.

We had some incredibly quiet moments, the villa matches the photos. Note that the occupants of the villa above can see you, which bothered us a lot, and that if there are children in the house next door it takes away a bit from the alone in the world feeling with the noise. If not, it's great.

Harry was super friendly and provided us with lots of useful recommendations such as places to go and things to do. He was always happy to answer any questions we had and got back to us quickly. We were able to rent a car directly from Harry, he also picked us up from the airport and drove us to the property, which we found really helpful. There is a steep driveway to the property but Harry’s car made it easy. He showed us around the lovely Airbnb on our arrival and he also dropped us back at the airport after checking out. The Airbnb itself is amazing! We loved the outdoor space with the fantastic views, lounging by the pool and cooking in the outdoor oven. It is so calm and quiet, just what we needed. The local town provides a mini market and fuel just a few minutes drive away. With decent restaurants only 5 minutes away. A large supermarket was about 20 minutes away. So you are in a secluded spot but with plenty of amenities easy to get to. Highly recommended, many thanks Harry!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect for a relaxing vacation, and we really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. Communication with the host was smooth and easy.

We slept 4 adults at Mr. Giorgos' accommodation. It was all thoughtful with love and care so that nothing was missing from the guest. We found everything we needed inside and more. The cleanliness was excellent, you can see it as soon as you enter and then in the smallest detail. If we find ourselves from here at some point we will prefer it, beyond that we recommend it - all four of us - unreservedly. Thank you so much! 🙏🏻

Ieronimos is an exceptionally welcoming host! He guided us to the accommodation, showed us around and had left a small bottle of cold water. He was very available, warm and even brought us small cookies made by his wife one morning, and wanted to greet us before we left. The accommodation offers beautiful views, and is a 20-minute walk or 2-minute drive, from the beach. Thanks Ieronimos!

Excellent location and house

The views from the spacious terrace are really fantastic and the highlight of the apartment. However, you should have a basic fitness level for the short (4 min) but steep path up. The photos of the apartment give a realistic impression, the mattress is rather firm. The kitchen equipment is a bit sparse for cooking yourself and the bathroom could use a renovation or at least a new shower curtain. We did not meet Sophia personally, but she provided us with plenty of food as a welcome.

The location is special, we celebrated it. Beautifully located. Totally quiet and a little off the beaten path. We were feeling absolutely safe. The local restaurants were just open at the beginning of May - it's village-like. Car is necessary. The prices fair, the people friendly. Visiting free-living cats. A cat has born her kittens near the accommodation and feels part of the house. The first micromarket is 5 minutes away, in Gazi (10 min) there are larger shopping opportunities. The bathroom is small and like everything about the house lovingly designed. From the height of 180 cm, the use of the toilet requires some flexibility because of the legroom. The house is a dream if you want to relax and come down.

Our stay at Antonios' went very well. The accommodation is very clean, well-equipped and matches the photos well. Despite a self check-in, Antonios was very attentive, he is a quality host. It takes 30 minutes on foot to reach the historic center, but buses pass right next to the apartment. There is also a small supermarket next door, convenient for shopping. In conclusion, we recommend this accommodation in all sincerity.

This place looked just like the pictures. We loved it so much. The rooftop terrace was amazing. The only caution is that if you stay over on a Wednesday you will have to find other parking which is difficult. The parking lot is closed that day for a flea market. The closest we could find was a 15 minute walk. Also be aware that there is a church right next to it with church bells that ring until 10:00 pm and start at 7 am. That being said, I would definitely stay there again. It was such a nice place.

We spent 2 weeks in the wonderful house. The property is very well equipped. Everything is also very tidy and clean. The outdoor area is also spacious. Numerous sun loungers, but also plenty of areas with shade in the heat. You can relax perfectly in the hammock. Surrounded by olive trees, the house is quiet. Pure nature. Upon our arrival, we found fresh fruit and even a homemade cake. The location is great for the southern part of the island. However - as is the case everywhere in Crete - a rental car is necessary. A good bakery is 800 m away. A large supermarket is 5 minutes away by car. Matala about 20 minutes. Communication with the host was problem-free. We got helpful tips. A great stay. We enjoyed the time very much. Glad to come back anytime.

Amazing place to stay for some relaxation. The room is very clean and has a beautiful view on the sea, and the shower was super nice and warm. The hostess Maria was very nice and was always ready to help us. There’s a small restaurant nearby called Maria (a different Maria), and she makes the best food and is incredibly nice. Our stay here was amazing!

Very very Beautiful Apartment and a Yard just for yourself to use and hang out. Perfekt for Couples or Families. There is also a small village with a little shop for some quick shopping. But in 30min you are in Heraklion and at beautiful beaches. Also Georgia is very kind and looks after you! Would def recommend and come back :)

Super clean and cozy apartment. We felt very comfortable from start to finish. Our host Panagiotis was always friendly and reliable. Supermarkets, different restaurants and the beach were within walking distance and around the property you always found a (free) parking space. Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to travel to the beautiful Agia Galini 👍🏻

A real insider tip for those seeking peace, nature and privacy. The accommodation is idyllically located, surrounded by lots of olive trees and mountains - perfect for switching off. We particularly liked the beautiful pool, the well-maintained tennis court and the refreshing outdoor shower – a real highlight after a hot day in the sun. Everything was very clean and lovingly designed. Magdalena was always available and quickly answered all our questions. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely be back! A tavern, a gas station and a small bakery are within 15 minutes' walking distance. However, since there is no sidewalk, a car is definitely recommended! The nearest beach, Heraklion and the airport are about 15 minutes by car.

No complaints! Location in the heart of Matala but very quiet in the morning! Unusual place at the foot of the chapel! Small terrace to enjoy breakfast or a quiet evening to the sound of concerts from the bar restaurant nearby. The sea is a stone's throw away! The host is always present when needed to make our stay perfect. Small gifts await us on our arrival, very nice... we will come back with great pleasure 🏵️

We spent a week at Eva's place, in a very quiet location surrounded by nature - including beautiful views of the sea. The nearest beach is within walking distance, tamarisk trees even provide shade for longer stays. The nearby village of Lendas has nice taverns and 2 small mini-markets for everyday items. Eva is a very friendly and helpful hostess. The atmosphere in the accommodation, with other residents, is cozy and pleasant. The lovingly furnished amenities of the room offer everything you need in everyday life and are also very comfortable for just lingering. We will be happy to come back.
