Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sitia

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marianthi's and Thodoris' house. The sea side view is just epic; from the hammock you can just chill, look over the sea and the mountains and feel the soft sea breeze. They are truly wonderful hosts, and they quickly responded to any requests from our side and provided us with nice suggestions on places to visit. The house was just beautiful and well cared for, especially the garden and patio were wonderful for our young kids who loved exploring and picking up lemons, that we used to make an amazing lemonade. Many days we started the day by walking to the nearby beach so that the kids could make sandcastles and we could relax into the day. We also enjoyed the restaurants at the beach that have a decent selection and good quality food. We would highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially to families with kids.

Cozy town and peaceful place.

We were a little worried about staying at Guy’s place since it didn’t have any reviews. Since it was so heavily discounted for the location and the property we decided to go for it. Score!! Almost new home 5 minute walk from the sea. Not a lay on the beach kind of place but a beautiful rocky coastline. We could spend hours down there watching the breaking surf. The best part of our stay was the neighbors. We have talked about moving to Crete but our neighbor Yanna sold us on the idea. We felt like she adopted us into her family. We have spent a few weeks on Crete but never felt so much at home as Guy’s Place. BTW: If you are reading this we recommend booking now. Once guy has this property established on Air BnB prices should absolutely go up.

Irene was so helpful, quickly responding to any questions we had throughout our stay! Her apartment is truly right by the sea with captivating views of the rest of the city built in the hills to the west and beautiful views in front and to the east of the port. We highly recommend her as a super host! We have stayed in many Air B & B’s and her apartment in Sitia is now one of our favorites!😊💕

We enjoyed our accommodation very much during these few days! The accommodation is clean, functional, very well-equipped and the host is very responsive. What can I say about the two beautiful exteriors! The large roof terrace for resting in the shade in complete privacy with sea views. The small terrace in front of the house is incredible, with your feet in the water. The house is in a very good location, a few meters from the city center and the bar next door is a real asset for having a drink or a meal from our own terrace. A little gem just like the city of Mochlos.

Ideal for lovers of a quiet and unique area. Access by a narrow and stony path.(Access to paradise is earned!) Very warm welcome with an excellent home-cooked meal. Too bad we had 2 days of bad weather, (jacuzzi out of service) we would have come close to absolute perfection!!

Had an absolutely beautiful stay at this apartment. The location is absolutely perfect for a relaxing get away. The property is really well equipped and has everything you could need. Maria was super friendly, responsive and communicated really well throughout our visit. We visited just before the main season and Mochlos was quiet and sleepy, just waking up. You'll need a car if you want to explore the island from here. Cannot recommend this property enough - we just had the most lovely time.

We only stayed two nights in the area and in the accommodation, but the Tiny House is furnished with a lot of love and well equipped. We felt right at home there. The host Eric was very helpful and gave us many tips for the area. He also responds to messages super fast. We had a very nice stay! Thank you very much!

The place was very nice and exactly as pictured. The surroundings are not quite as appealing and if you are not so good on foot, you need a car to get to the city center.

Absolutely fantastic, five stars quite honestly isn’t enough for Menelaos and his beautiful penthouse villa. The villa is perfectly located….it really couldn’t be closer to the sea, with unique views of Mochlos, the island and the coasts to the east and west. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay, and the balcony is just perfect….the hardest thing was to drag ourselves away from it! Most importantly Menelaos is an absolutely perfect host, we’ve never had a welcome like it and we immediately felt at home, Menelaos is a true gentleman. We’re lucky to spend quite a bit of time in Crete and will definitely return to Menelaos Penthouse Villa….in fact I’m already planning our next visit!

The apartment was spacious and in a great location, close to the sea and city center. Louizos was very friendly and communicative.

The villa is absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures on the website. We absolutely loved our stay here! Although there were other guests at the resort, we didn't see them at all, so it felt like we were the only people there. The facilities, including the pool, sun beds both in and out of the pool, which were incredible! Stefani showing us around when we first got there and explained that cleaning service was included, which we didn't expect. This made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The attention to detail made our stay exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely recommend the villa to our friends and family. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

An Absolutely Perfect Stay – Couldn’t Have Asked for More! I originally booked this Airbnb for just a few days, but it was so wonderful that I ended up staying for an entire month! The apartment had everything I needed for a comfortable long-term stay and remote work—thoughtful amenities, reliable Wi-Fi, and a peaceful environment. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking! What truly made this stay special, though, was Manos. He went above and beyond to make me feel at home, offering fantastic local tips and accommodating every request with kindness. He treated me like family—even surprising me with homemade pastries for Easter! If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, stunning views, and genuine hospitality, look no further. 1000% recommended—I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

I had the best time at George’s Apartment. The view is incredible, the little balcony very refreshing and the rooms absolutely convenient. I have loved the Meze Restaurant around the corner which is called The Hope and had the best time there.

Iannis and his mother welcomed us kindly and gave us fruit and vegetables. Olive oil was also available. The location was good for exploring the great bay around the Lasithi area by car. We would definitely come back.

Great place, spacious, clean and well appointed. Well equipped. Sitia is a city on a hill, the accommodation is very well located to reach the city center and the port. However, be careful with a lot of parking spaces (free) but sideways. We recommend, Konstantia was very responsive! The bottle of wine as a check-in gift is much appreciated:)

We had an amazing time. Manolis is very helpful and friendly. He gave us some great recommendations of beaches to go to and restaurants. The apartment is in a great location. It has everything you need and is really nicely decorated and very clean. If we end up in Agios Nikolaos again we will definitely stay there again

Beautiful spacious apartment with great modern design and with a unique sea view from the balcony (sea only about 20 meters away). Everything you need. The landlord is extremely friendly and always available. We felt very comfortable. There are lots of good restaurants in the area, all within walking distance. The free parking by the sea was also perfect. From there, you only need 5 minutes to the apartment. The beautiful bar near the bedrooms was always well attended and accordingly it was loud there until late at night. It's a matter of taste, but the beds were too hard for us. Otherwise, absolutely recommended! We felt very comfortable and always had a cozy breakfast on the balcony.

We spent almost a week in this lovely apartment with our 2 year old and it was just perfect! The apartment contains few things but has everything you might need - it’s beautiful and cosy. Alexandra’s dad welcomed us and our daughter became a real fan of him (just like us, he was very friendly). We loved the proximity to the beach (so beautiful! And perfect for small children) and the nice taverns and cafes, while still being secluded. During two nights we heard some louder music (from a bar, maybe) but after closing the window that was also not a problem at all . Thank you, Alexandra, we really enjoyed our stay and could have easily stayed longer!

Wonderful! Thats the word to describe our entire experience at Evi and Dimitris’ charming studio on the sea. Makry Gialos is a quaint, small, peaceful seaside village away from noise and hustle bustle. Just what we wanted. The village center was an easy, short walk away if ever we wanted. Being right on the beach; listening to the waves all day long…..it was just what we wanted. We prepared all our own meals. The kitchenette was well equipped for that. The bed was very comfortable…. Absolutely a perfect stay. We were sorry to leave. We’d definitely stay here again. Dimitris and Evi were easily accessible and responsive to any and all queries and questions.
