Family-friendly vacation rentals in Silver Strand State Beach

Beautiful, rustic stone cottage. Felt like we were in southern France or Tuscany… loved the stonework throughout the property. Love the outdoor, screened patio. Kim gave amazing hiking recommendations. Would be grateful to return !

We stayed for about a week and everything was lovely. Such a serene setting in a quiet safe neighborhood that has easy access to hiking trails . The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms are comfortable and the deck has so many sitting options. We have to be back in the area again at some point in the next year and would certainly consider staying again. We did not have great phone service in the downstairs area but WiFi worked well

It was very clean and we loved the décor and spacious, private yard. He provided everything we needed for our stay and the built-in water filter was great.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Patty’s house. Her house is so warm, welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen is amazing and fully stocked. What a treat to be able to cook family dinners during our stay! The location is peaceful, serene and convenient to hiking, shopping, restaurants and the beach. Thank you Patty!

Fantastic views and very peaceful guest home high on a hillside in Malibu. Hosts are kind and accommodating, we spent much of our time exploring SoCal but felt right at home here. The journey up to the home is a a decent hike from the PCH but the views are worth it! Would definitely come back!

This place absolutely blew my mind. Stunning views, massive space and secluded from the rest. I most definitely will revisit this place. A gem hidden in the hills of Malibu.

Very accommodating - listed for three nights we asked for two nights and Robert and Arlina made it happen.

The host Linda was very responsive. We were evacuated due to the Palisades and other wild fires, and we were very disappointed! But Linda called in the middle of the night telling us we had to leave. Power went out eventually in the unit and we returned quickly to retrieve all of our belongings. We were able to go and stay with friends we were supposed to be visiting. Since the situation was so terrible, we arranged to leave early for our second destination and Linda was very gracious about refunding our early departure and Airb&b was very helpful and refunded our entire stay. Hopefully, when we return for our son’s wedding in May we will have the full experience!

We had a magical time staying at this quaint little house outside of town. Within seconds of parking the car, the horse next door stuck her nose over the fence to say hi to our 5 year old daughter who was over the moon to meet this gentle giant. She spent every moment available petting her nose and feeding her bits of grass. The house is super cozy and well stocked with kitchen items (pots, pans, coffee maker, blender, etc..) all the things needed to feel right at home. We even bbq’d on the patio. The house is in a rural area, plenty quiet and beautiful with a well stocked market 5 minutes toward Santa Paula and the town of Ojai 10 minutes in the other direction. Beds and couches are comfy, plenty of sheets blankets and towels available. Angela was super friendly & responsive if anything extra is needed. The WiFi worked great. I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

this little gem was not only perfect but really very peanut and quaint .bed super cumpfy. private and so easy to get into. there little doggies were so sweet and friendly well.worth it and I would recommend it to anyone. Tha k you so so much

What a great spot! There is a lot to do within walking distance but there are a lot of stairs to get to the main thoroughfare. The cottage was super cozy for a tiny house. The kitchen had amenities for the first morning which was helpful after a day of travel. We wished we had more time to spend there but there was so much to do in Ventura.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this RV camper in Santa Paula and it was absolutely beautiful exactly what we needed to escape the city. The space is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and so thoughtfully set up. At night, the fireplace adds the perfect cozy touch, and listening to the frogs and crickets felt like they were all singing in harmony. We left feeling refreshed and connected. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent one bedroom unit right on the beach with the perfect location. Exactly as described and ideal for a quick weekend away. We will be back soon I’m sure!

My stay at Vivian’s place was truly wonderful! Her home is located at a very convenient location, close to everything: the market, Downtown Ventura, Botanical gardens, and the pier! The inside of her house is gorgeous, spacious, clean, and decorated so nicely. The pictures posted did not do it justice; we were pleasantly surprised! My family and I enjoyed cooking together in the spacious kitchen. The patio dining area is so lovely, but we were too cold to eat outside this time. The living room is great, my kids loved hanging out there! Vivian offers nice streaming options on TV and some games to play, so the kids were entertained the whole time. The bedrooms are serene and tastefully decorated and we appreciated plenty of closet space and the hangers. The master bedroom and bathroom are the best! My parents really loved their stay there. The room is so spacious: there is a bed, walk-in closet, a sofa, and a desk/chair. Thank you Vivian for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Overall a great place to stay in Malibu. Ideal location on the beach with its own private entrance. The house was complete furnished as described. If you plan to airbnb keep in mind that this place uses a septic tank. If you are not used to the smell of the septic tank it may throw you off. It wasn't a nasty smell but a unique odors that we needed to address occasionally with candles and airing out the unit.

This place was the perfect spot for our group attending a wedding in Malibu. The Airbnb was well provisioned with anything you could need and comfy beds. Everything was super clean!

A really lovely gem in the hills. Great retreat for family time. Mine loved it…even the grandchild said it restored his juices.

Moorpark CC was the venue for a family wedding. In searching for a place to stay, we found Christine and Dennis's lovely place, such gracious and friendly hosts. The guest home is extremely clean and comfortable, Moorpark is too with many restaurants and available amenities.

I usually rent a cabin somewhere in the mountains with my best pup once a year for a quiet girls weekend. This year I was hoping for something more local and stumbled upon this gem of an experience. What a beautiful place Murray and Kay have. The property is easy to find and Murray was right there (with their horses) when I pulled in. The Airstream was fully equipped and I really didn't feel like I was deprived of any creature comforts. The solar battery was enough for my couple of devices to charge. Hiking trails right outside the door and views for days. One of their horses even made it up the mountain one night to say hello. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of blankets, linens and towels. I loved every minute of my stay and look forward to visiting again.

Perfect for us! Lots of space and light, really nice master bedroom and bathroom, good beds. And a better deal than most in the area. Very nice and communicative host. Thanks, Gloria!!

What an absolutely lovely place to stay. The moment we opened the door I was in love!!! We could not have asked for more…close to the beach, private and tucked away, beautiful and stylish decor…we can’t wait to come back and enjoy the pool!!!
