Founded in 1957, my grandfather, Eiichi Tanuchi, ran an inn called Aiwasho for the cultural development of Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture. In order to continue to protect its history and traditions, his granddaughter, Kiushuko, reopened the inn under its original name in 2021. Built on the site of Ueno Castle, this inn is a traditional Japanese house with tatami mats on the floor. Please relax in one of the two Japanese-style rooms. The inn is located on a hill overlooking the city of Tanabe, so you can enjoy the morning sun, sunset, and night view. On a calm day, we recommend having tea in a wicker chair on the edge of the hinoki cypress wooden deck, which was made in the image of the moon viewing platform of the Katsura Imperial Villa. The newly installed bath and toilet are spacious and barrier-free, so you can bathe together or use them easily even if you need assistance. We installed popin.aladdin (lighting with projector) in one of the Japanese-style rooms. It projects on the sliding doors You can watch TV, music, movies, etc. Enjoy BGM on YouTube before you go out in the morning. My parents, Kisaku and Shuko Tanai (Japanese), live next to the house, so please let me know if you need anything.

We used it with 5 families and 23 people. It was large enough for 23 people to spare the room. There were many children, and they responded to preschool children, so I decided. It was very spacious and the children had a fun time running around all the time. I heard that I can camp and play in the river in the summer, so I'd love to stay again for the summer vacation.

7 of us stayed with children, but the room was spacious and fully equipped with amenities and facilities, and we had a comfortable stay. It is also close to Tore Tore Market, and the location is very convenient. It was raining, but there was a roof on the wooden deck, so we were able to enjoy the BBQ without any problems, and overall it was a beautiful and stylish place, and it was a very enjoyable memory of the trip. Really nice place with good decoration and also nice view. And very clean. Had great experience there. The service was really nice too. They provided bicycle rental service and also called taxi for us. The only thing is that pay attention to the address of it, we went to the wrong place at the beginning.
