An amazing home in a residential area. If you want to experience a more local side of Tokyo, this is the place! Hiroyuki and Yukiko are excellent Hosts and completely respects your privacy, while still always being available to help if needed. They were kind and hospitable throughout my entire stay! The home is connected to the main unit, where the Hosts live, but your living space is otherwise a completely separate unit with a separate entrance. It's clean and well-equipped with amenities such as a washer and dryer, a mini kitchen, and good wifi. It also has a beautiful Japanese garden as well as a tatami room, which is a nice treat to get to enjoy during the stay! Overall, highly recommend!

Jennie’s place was just what we needed for our trip to Tokyo. The house was spotless and based in a quieter residential area in Tokyo. The house had everything we needed for our stay and was a ten minute walk to two nearby stations, making it easy to travel to all the attractions. There were plenty of shops nearby for topping up on essentials. Jennie was a great host and quick to respond to any queries we had. Thank you!

Our stay was lovely! The house was clean, well-maintained and matched the description. The only little inconvenience we had was that we had to go down from the third to the first floor to use the shower and the stairs were a bit steep. On the other hand, the location of the house is great! The neighbourhood is peaceful, the nearest subway station, Ikebukuro Station, is within a walking distance of the house. The hosts were responsive, friendly, the communication with them was easy and satisfying. We recommend staying at Ka's place.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very close to lots of great restaurants and easy access to the subway. It is down a side street that is generally very quiet in the evenings but you only need to walk a couple of minutes to get into much livelier parts of the city. The place itself had everything we needed, would recommend.

Great place to stay with a larger group in a nice neighborhood. Plenty of options within walking distance with easy access to transit. The room was clean and the bed was good, and having the ability to do laundry was nice. The host was responsive and check in instructions were clear and easy.

This place has it's pros and cons. 5 stars because of the location and the host being very helpful and kind. Cons: It was relatively clean and tidy. Being an older house, it still has older carpet and flooring. I wouldn't say it was squeaky clean, but it was satisfactory. The tatami room has a little funny smell, most likely from the outside? The stairs going up to the second floor are narrow and steep so it may affect kids and elderly, but it still worked for us. Pros: The house location is only a 1-2 minute walk from the main road which has 7 Eleven, Family Mart, restaurants, and pharmacies. About 5 minutes walk to Shin-Okubo and Okubo JR stations. The house itself is on a quiet street away from the noise and business of the main road and you have privacy while staying there. Good air-conditioning. The new water dispenser machine broke down, but the host brought over a 6 pack of big water bottles for us. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again next time!
