Waterfront vacation rentals in Shimoda

Great location very close to the train station. The instructions for check-in were clear, and the view was amazing. The room was 5 stories up, but we were aware of that when we booked. The only downsides were that it was noisy with the cars on the street below. The host was friendly and communicative. He was well organized with the check-in information and gave lots of local recommendations. He also was fairly quick to respond to any questions I had. Overall I would recommend this place if you are looking to stay and explore Ito!

I was grateful that it was cheap during the busy tourist season and that I could stay with my dog! I used it after understanding in advance that it was an old building, the toilet was small, and there was no bath or shower, but on the other hand, the interior was clean, well cleaned, and the amenities were plentiful, so it was a very pleasant stay. Thank you Toshi and Reiko! My husband, daughter and I had a fantastic time in your apartment by the sea. We loved the space, we were very comfortable and had everything we needed and more! If you like surfing this is a great spot, right in front of Usami beach, and you can rent surf boards and gear at a nearby shop. We adored Usami, with easy access to Ito and Atami, and all attractions in the area (Jogasaki Coast, Mt Omuro, Mt Fuji and more!). We especially loved the local restaurants and, our favorite was the bento shop by the train station, the best!!! We would love to come back some day :)

This AirBnb was a great place to stay at. Very clean, nice view of the ocean, toilet was nice, and had all the listed amenities. Comfortable bed and the split duct air conditioning/heating worked great. Loved the decorations in the house, game themed and very cute. The AirBnb is certainly right on the busiest road in Atami, so there is always non-stop car traffic — which can be a bit much at times but I am not bothered by noise in order to sleep so it was fine for me. I would also not recommend walking here from the station with suitcases, Atami is very moutainous and the journey was not very fun — just take a taxi it’s quite cheap. Other than that great place!

Great location to visit Hakone, pretty close to Yumoto so you can go anywhere in the region. I recommend

The house is very closed to the train station and it’s a good place to stay if you want to visit Hakone area. We really enjoyed the time here!

My family and I loved our time here. Although the weather was a little cold and wet, Noel Hakone offered us a warm and cozy retreat, with absolutely stunning scenery and superb views of Mount Fuji. The house had everything we needed and was close to shops, restaurants and attractions. A simply beautiful home in a beautiful part of the world.

Awesome location across a tiny street to the beach…great for multiple families or group of friends. We had a great stay & have already recommended it to others!

The location was inconvenient, but it was just as clean and beautiful as the photos.There was a time limit of 8 pm when using the BBQ grill, which was a bit disappointing.

This was a lovely AirBnB within 5 minutes walking of the lighthouse and Jogasaki Coast walk. The room was clean and spacious and the bath/onsen was a wonderful way to end the day. Check-in was easy and there was a good private parking spot on premises. If you plan it correctly, you can do a loop of the Jogasaki Coast walk, starting at the farthest suspension bridge and working your way back to the lighthouse and then back home. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely stay here again!

It has been a great experience visiting yugawara. We had great time staying in this lovely house. It is near to Lawson, taxi stand, bus stop, and sightseeing area, which is very convenient for elderly . Very peaceful town to visit. The house has everything we needed. We definitely would like to come back to stay at this place and enjoy nature in yugawara again.

Thanks to the very kindness of the host, we had a comfortable time.We were able to relax with all the BBQs and bedding.I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

I used it as a family of two, but it was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and I enjoyed cooking.
