Ryokan vacation rentals in Shimane

We had the best stay with RYU! The family is very hospitable and kind. We were super impressed from our first communications with RYU. He was always available and made our stay well worth it. His mom and dad are the most kind and generous. They made reservations for us at a local restaurant and the food was fantastic. My daughter and her Fiance stayed with RYU last year and gave rave reviews. You will not be disappointed!

100% recommend this place. Kumi is really nice and replied superfast. Still the room felt very private (quiet and windows to the outside) and everything was super clean. We traveled with a little one and she made sure we had everything we need (even a diaper trash she prepared for us without us asking for it). The room is very traditional with the tatami-flooring and the futons. We had some of the best nights sleep of our entire trip here. ✨ Thanks a lot!

Absolutely amazing house to stay in Tomonoura! Instead of going back to Tokyo for our last night in Japan, we stayed here for the night and it was perfect. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The host was also incredibly kind, made us feel welcome, and helped us arrange some complications with shipping our luggage there. I hope to come back one day!

Very beautiful home that I oftentimes didn‘t even want to leave and instead just enjoy. Especially the traditional tatami-style bedroom from which you could soft soothing sounds of the nearby river. Keiko was from the beginning extremly kind, cheerful, openhearted and offered me more support than i could have ever asked for. She made me feel at home in way i never experienced in an airbnb or any other accommodation (and was very patient with the little japanese i know). I‘m beyond grateful for the time i had here and i‘m sure to treasure it in my heart. ほんとにありがとうございました！またね

A nice accommodation for a small price. It is in a nice spot with everything you could want nearby.
