Vacation rentals in Sherman County

What a gem! If you want to actually "get away" while having a spectacular view, perfectly equipped lodging, distinctive touches, and hosts that exceed all expectations.... this is your place. The photos are completely accurate. You ARE that close to the river! April drizzle kept us mostly inside looking out the kitchen greenhouse window while using the binoculars to check out the feathered friends on the sandbars. Everything you'd need in a kitchen (and more!) is close at hand. We even got to enjoy the very cozy stove in the living room with its cute flickering flames. That paired with scrumptious kolaches and sourdough bread from the Dannebrog bakery were a an ideal combo. If it were just the surroundings, the wonderfully equipped house, and well-written instructions you'd be hard-pressed to pass on this spot. But, Dan and Susie are absolutely the nicest, most responsive hosts EVER. Completely and whole-heartedly recommend if you want to stay where people CARE about you & your trip.

Great place for me and my coworkers. We are staying again next week. Worked perfect and price was great.

John’s place is the ultimate outdoor paradise! So much to do for the whole family couldn’t not give a better recondition. If you want to be secluded with so many places to explore this is it. Will be put on the list of go to spots with out a doubt!

Laura's cottage was exactly as described, very clean, safe, affordable and cozy, totally enjoyed our stay. will definitely recommend to friends and family. Also got to meet local game and parks officer ( matt) very friendly and a few others I town, Johnsons bait and tackle is where we got fishing license and park permit, very friendly folks...I'd give the whole experience a 10 star review if possible...thanks Laura

Always appreciate a clean, quiet home in a small town. This place is that, and more. Seamless check in, quiet neighborhood, everything a person needs to relax. Definitely recommend!!

We really enjoyed staying in Kimberley’s home. We were there for a funeral and the weather wasn’t very nice. But it would be fun to stay here in the summer since the river is right there. We would come back.

This was the perfect place to stay for our work trip to the area for a week and a half. Super convenient location, and the decor and thoughtful touches far surpassed most AirBnB’s I’ve stayed at across the country in large cities! Very comfortable, homey space, with every amenity we could have asked for and more. Our flight got delayed so we arrived quite late and the code to get in wasn’t working, but thankfully it was easy to get ahold of the host and get the door reprogrammed! So the host is responsive to any needs that come up. Beautiful stay and will recommend to all future colleagues who visit the area!

Cottonwood Cottage is a hidden gem in a tiny town. The bed was comfy and the place was clean. We will return for sure.

Great place. Very peaceful neighborhood. 1st Airbnb that we have stayed at that had food and drink stocked in the fridge and Cub-bard. We arrived late and appreciated the breakfast items that were offered. The place was exactly as described and we will definitely be staying there again next year.
