Chalet vacation rentals in Shawinigan

Nice welcome with all the information given by the owner. It feels like a home away from home. We love the tranquility of the place , we sleep in the greatest calm. You can also lull yourself around the fire and admire the lake. The mezzanine offers several beds (6 people). In addition, on the ground floor, there is a closed bedroom that allows you to add two people. The mattresses are comfortable althoughthey have a good experience. It's great because we have almost everything to cook, however, there is no salad dryer or pots that allow you to cook without any glue. However, we still managed:) The center of Le Baluchon which is 15 minutes away, offers several activities. We loved skiing there but you can also eat, snowshoe, ski doo, dog sledding or carriage rides, etc. The village is very quiet. The bakery opens from Thursday and the small shop behind the church from Friday, so we couldn't enjoy it

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this chalet. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet, and the chalet itself is really lovely. It is very well kept and tastefully decorated, and it has been designed with excellent use of space. The kitchen was very well stocked - better than most other places we have stayed. Jean-Sebastien was a very responsive and personable host. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future.

The place was perfect for a peaceful getaway during the March Break. Close enough to ameneties, the Mauricie National Park and other other oitdoor fun, but tucked away on a beautiful lake in the woods for some quiet, relaxing time. The place had everything we needed.

Lovely quiet place! We enjoyed the spa and sauna directly attached to the cottage, the cleanliness of the place and the way it was arranged. In winter there is not much to do/visit around, but it was very quiet and allowed you to rest well. We were able to buy wood directly on site to make a fire. We have only positive things to say and surely go back.

We had a great stay with friends at Marie's chalet. The chalet is beautiful, very cozy and super well equipped. It's very easy to communicate with our host who is super responsive to messages. I recommend it, everything was perfect!

We had a pleasant stay at the green cottage. Plenty of space to accommodate our large family as well as our dog. Great communication with the host, cozy and comfortable beds, a beautiful fireplace in the living room, a functional hot tub and what can I say about the massage chair, wow! Definitely not our last time at this cottage. Caution is advised for arrival/departure as the road to get there is sloping and the pavement can be slippery. Thank you for hosting us! The house is gorgeous! We appreciated having enough bedrooms and large beds for everyone. The kids room was a hit! The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, especially with the view! Also, the kitchen had ample dishes and utensils which was useful. We loved the large living room and fireplace.

Beautiful log cabin, well stocked in a very peaceful setting. Our group was very comfortable and the place had everything we needed. The place is in a beautiful area overlooking a stream, really a pleasure to have enjoyed over the Christmas break. The host is responsive and gives clear instructions, everything was very smooth.

Such a beautiful space and beautiful for a weekend getaway

Amazing location! A real little paradise with the beach directly outside the chalet. I loved the little path in the woods that leads to the cottage. Close to the city, the Auberge du Lac Taureau and others. As for the location, it's a big 5 ⭐️ For us, the only downside was the comfort of the beds. Otherwise, it's a nice place to unwind and enjoy nature.

Very pleasant stay in a very warm and very well-equipped chalet, with a responsive and attentive host. We even had the chance to see deer very close to the cottage! Recommended!

Such a peaceful, private location with beautiful lake views, but still just a short drive into town. This was our first getaway to Canada from RI and we would definitely stay at this Airbnb again! We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the big hot tub and firepit. The stairs down to the lake are steep but worth it for the views! The lake views from the bedroom are so stunning. Spacious living room, our 2 dogs loved being with us during our stay. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 4 nights at this cottage in winter. It's super well located for snowshoeing and snowmobiling enthusiasts, with trails for each of these activities being accessible directly from the chalet. The place must be beautiful in summer too. I'll go back there!

Great host and good location if you want to do things around the Quebec City area. the house was very clean and had good amenities. Location is ok, the main limitation is lack of nature spaces to walk around outside the house.

Lovely cottage at the side of the lake with on-site sauna and jacuzzi. The host communicates very well and they respond fast.

We had a pleasant stay. Several activities nearby including La Terre des Bisons, a favorite for our family. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. There is plenty of space outside for kids to play outside in the snow. We also really enjoyed the spa with the beautiful view of the frozen lake. We didn't miss anything. Thanks!
