Hugh's Highland Hideaway

Soraya FadzwinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The house surpassed our expectations. Located off the main road and it feels really peaceful and private. We can hear the sound of the sheep almost all the time and our daughter loves it! Upon checking in, the host informed us that we'd be the first to enjoy a newly furnished furniture for the bedrooms which we thoroughly enjoyed. The fireplace was also a delightful touch, and the host was kind enough to leave firewood for us. We really felt at home and definitely will return. Thanks for hosting Hugh!

Ground floor of lovely house near the ocean.

We dont live to far away, top of Caithness. Rugged and wild by the sea. I wanted from this trip quietness and little to no contact with humans! I am tired of socialising, tired of the world's doom and bloody gloom, This wee cottage is so peaceful and private. I barely left the house, reset my soul Lost track of day & time. Slept peacefully Such a pity I have to go back to the real world again! This cottage is a haven , Saul thanks for sharing. Liz Leon was all manly and took charge of the fire & dogs. Passes on his thanks also.

What a slice of Heaven on Earth! Richard’s cottage provided a restful and peaceful retreat for myself - tucked away in Uig - but not so far away as to easily explore the entire island. I flew into Stornoway, stopped by the CO-OP for a few groceries initially but found the little store in Uig expansive as to its offerings and accommodated all my needs for the rest of the trip. The kitchen is perfect for meals at the cottage and the rest of the space very beautifully crafted and clean. All views in this cottage are stunning as well as the surrounding landscape. Richard was a lovely host, living nearby on the property as well but never felt intrusive and was quite accommodating. He was very helpful as to recommendations to enjoy during my visit. I will definitely be back to enjoy such an exquisite place!!!

Lower Glen Cottage - Sea View Escape, Isle of Skye

KimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The place was perfect - quiet, well located to explore the best of the island, easy to find, very well equipped. Little touches made us feel welcome and made us feel at home. We then stayed on the Isle of Lewis in what was a higher spec property but it did not have those little touches that made us feel at home. Karen was very helpful and went out of her way to help. We would recommend her place to anyone.

Old Croft House, 26 Back

A lovely friendly welcome from Janice and Callum. The house has a comfy warm feeling and I would have thought would suit families well - especially as it had twin lounges. You can also walk to a beach from the back door. Ample parking is useful. It suited our needs perfectly as we were visiting friends round the corner.

Idyllic Hebridean Holiday Cottage

GuyomardRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The house is located in a really beautiful and peaceful area, with great access to both Lewis and Harris. The house is surrounded by fields (croft), to which you have access to walk and discover the surroundings and wildlife. I really enjoyed walking down to the loch side and along the water at low tide to spot the seals every afternoon. Cathie and Les are great hosts, I had some great conversation with Les about the history of the place, wildlife, and areas to visit. The house is spotless and the view from each window out to the surroundings is incredible . Les said, "this airBnb is to us more than just handing the keys", and I think this resume really well how they welcomed us. strongly recommend!
