Te Waihora Lodge is a lovely farmstead accomodation, there is Toby the friendly and ever hungry KuneKune Pig, the Sheep and the Turkeys all residing on 20 arce's of Lakeside Beauty. Leeston town is only 6km away with local Pubs, Cafes, Restaurants and Markets to fulfil the needs. Picturesque Lake Ellesmere is across the road, with 50,000 birds at last count making it a bird watchers haven. Sitting in the Spa Pool watching the clear night sky and the thousands of Stars is always my highlight.

Twins at the lake

Lake Kaniere is one of the most beautiful lakes in New Zealand and offers opportunity for a number of water sports. There are also several picnic places, a camping area, and numerous short walks. Twins at the Lake units are a short stroll away from the lake and the main walkway and cycling tracks. Kaniere is host to the powerboat races each year and is located only 18 km inland from Hokitika. Kowhai bach offers plenty of room to park a boat and lock up storage for any cycles etc

Outstanding stay, excellent location to get away and at the same time 20- 25 minute drive to downtown Christchurch. Great hosts, really went the extra mile/kilometer to make sure we felt at home, with great knowledge of the area. The grounds were fantastic which includes chickens, black sheep, takahe, and a pond with ducks and eels...Bed was supremely comfortable, shower was great. Bottom line, stay here

A great spot to stay in Wigram. Off street parking. Compact bedroom with queen bed, built in ward robes and a lockable door. Kitchenette had everything that I needed including ample fridge and freezer space. Great shower room. Cleanliness was top notch. Carpeted floor in bedroom. Walking distance to Wigram Landing -cinema, supermarket, eateries and a gym, otherwise 30minute walk to Hornby Mall - bigger shopping area. Wigram Airforce Museum - wonderful, just across the road over the park.Access to bus outside the front door other wise 200m to Springs Road for another bus or 600m to the main highway for a direct bus into the city. Great area to walk around. Easy access to cycle routes. Nearest takeaways at the Landing or on Spring Street 650m. Spoilt for eateries.The host was very friendly and welcoming. I had a great stay.

Delwyn and Jason gave us such a warm welcome we felt at home straight away. They were most accommodating hosts and we had lots of interesting conversations with them. There were lots of thoughtful touches, it was a real home from home. The property was very peaceful with lovely views and we found it a good base for visiting Christchurch, Akorora and Lyttelton.
