Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Selfoss

Absolutely amazing spot & even better hosts. My husband and I came to Iceland for a vow renewal after having to change our wedding plans due to COVID 5 years ago (we originally planned an elopement in Iceland), and Anthony went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time, and we did! Overall, this was an absolutely outstanding stay. Every single thing we needed was managed quickly & Anthony went beyond anything we could have asked to take care of us. Plus, the airbnb itself was so charming. Definitely recommend if looking for a quaint port town close the Reykjavik! I wouldn’t come here for a more isolated experience or to get away from the hustle of Reykjavik, but I think the port town was a great alternative to staying in Reykjavik itself.

We have stayed in many beautiful Airbnb's of all kinds in different locations around the world. Sigrun's house by the sea was the most incredible of all of them. The uniqueness of the location, the breathtaking scenery, the horses and seals, the beautiful cottage, the privacy...it is just an amazing, magical place. We will forever cherish our memories and hope to visit again when we return to Iceland.

we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is setup very well and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the south west of Iceland.

What an amazing place. The cottage is located in a beautigful fjord with an uncredibld view towards the sea and mountains partly covered in snow. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Unnur è stata molto amichevole nei nostri confronti. Quando siamo arrivati era all’ingresso della sua abitazione con il marito, abbiamo scambiato quattro chiacchiere, il che ci ha fatto molto piacere. L’appartamento corrispondeva alle foto, era pulito e situato in un bel quartiere tranquillo. Unnur ci ha fatto trovare anche del buon caffè…apprezzatissimo!

Todella hieno ja rauhallinen paikka, tilan hevoset upeita ja muut maatilan eläimet sekä koirat ihastuttavia. Mahdollisuus ratsastusvaellukseen oli syy miksi valitsimme tämän paikan, mutta voisin hyvin majoittua täällä myös muutenkin. Mökki oli hieno, kodikas ja hyvin varusteltu ja meidät otettiin hyvin lämpimästi vastaan. Mökin keittiöstä oli ihana katsella laiduntavia hevosia. Harmittaa että yövyimme vain yhden yön, olisimme viihtyneet pidempäänkin. Voin suositella lämpimästi tätä paikkaa.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes , gut ausgestattetes und sauberes Haus . Sehr ruhige Lage und von hier aus ist der Golden Circle wunderbar entspannt zu erkunden . Es gibt in Selfoss sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Trausti ist sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Vraiment à la campagne! Des chevaux, des chiots. Tranquille et quand même proche de tout. Par contre, des toiles pour couvrir toute la porte patio auraient été appréciées (surtout quand le soleil ne se couche pas). L’endroit est petit, mais parfait pour 1-2 nuits en gardant ses vêtements dans les valises.

Nicht nur die Unterkunft an sich, sondern auch die gesamte Umgebung waren wunderbar. Es gab nach der Buchung auch viele hilfreiche Informationen zum Beispiel welche Autovermietung gut ist. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. Wir würden diese Unterkunft definitiv wieder wählen.

Great location in Reykjavik. Walkable to most attractions near central Reykjavik. Parking garage around corner but is closed from Midnight to 7am. Only had an issue with those times once. They pull down steel doors so you can’t enter or exit. You could hear the neighbors but they offered ear plugs for you to pick u on 4th floor. Also had bags of ice for your use ( this was a great luxury in Iceland)! We also used the guest washer and dryer (nice perk). Would stay again!

We couldn’t have dreamt of a better location for a trip to Iceland. Anna was superb in the least up and gave som many helpful suggestions. She was an impeccable host. So kind. Friendly and helpful. Thank you both for an idyllic stay.

Home in Reykjavík was perfect - great location with parking , great kitchen, bathroom, and super comfortable bed - I loved it. Prior to arrival Thordis sent me a number of messages which included details on the apartment and its use, and information about sites of interest in the Reykjavik environs. Bryna's place was just what we were looking for! Very nice location, beds were great. plenty of room, and wonderfully decorated. We will definitely book again.

This place was awesome to stay in. Private location not far from the main road and many of southern Iceland's attractions. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place in Selfoss! Warm and cozy bed, fully equipped with everything we needed from a great shower to soft blankets and pillows. Though it's 20 minutes from the city center, the apartment felt modern and surprisingly well-stocked. Highly recommend!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Wohnung. sie ist sauber und modern. Da wir schlechtes Wetter hatten, haben wir uns auch viel dort aufgehalten, was mit der Ausstattung und den Räumlichkeiten gut geht. Die Kommunikation mit Sara lief super. Sie hat sehr schnell und freundlich geantwortet. Tatsächlich sind wir sogar sehr kurzfristig einen Tag früher angereist. Dies könnten wir innerhalb weniger Minuten mit ihr besprechen.

This apartment is spacious, tidy, and well-equipped. It’s not the newest or most recent, but it’s still in fairly good condition. I wish there were a tumble dryer in addition to the laundry machine. The Wi-Fi is super fast, and the location is great—right in the heart of Reykjavik. Parking is just a two-step walk from the front door. The neighbourhood is quiet and nice, but it can be a bit hard to find at night. I wish there were a photo guide that would lead you to the front door. Overall, it’s a great apartment, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Stayed in Iceland for a week and was a great place to stay! Host was very responsive, and helpful when needed. He provided very helpful instructions and recommendations for the stay. The place was clean and as described! The location was close to the city and many destinations while still being in a peaceful quieter part of town. Would stay here again if I was to travel here again!

The place is maintained very well, has very nice warm vibes and good interiors. The location of the place is excellent, one can just spend days looking outside from the balcony.

The Airbnb was easily accessible and well equipped with washing machine, dryer and fully equipped kitchen. There was also a designated parking spot for your vehicle. Magnus was responsive and extremely helpful in answering any queries. Would recommend this place

Beautiful apartment at a new development, easily reachable by car. We found everything we needed here as a couple visiting Iceland for the first time. The place is very clean and modern, and is a cosy and comfortable base while exploring the stunning country.

If Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons ever designed, furnished and located an apartment, then this is it. Great for family, market place next door should you need it, fantastic (top end) restaurants all around, coffee shops…and everything in short walking distance. It was so well kept and clean, felt like a high end resort. Really cool place and host who clearly cared about his guests’ experience. Reachable, proactive when needed, yet respectful of privacy. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, or any other of his locations, he truly is a class act super host. Highly recommended.
