Scorrodale yurt, Isle of Arran

AnnaRating, 5 stars11 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at the yurts. The site is just beautiful (we loved all the animals!) and the nearby amenities (The Lagg Inn, the distillery etc) are fab! The yurt itself was really cute with a lovely outdoor fire pit area (with picnic bench and logs to sit on - bring your own folding chairs!). The little kitchen area was great and the bathroom was very clean with a fantastic hot/powerful shower! The double bed was super comfortable, the futons somewhat less so! Communication a bit slow at times but overall a wonderful stay!

Firstly, Jon came out to greet us and show us around when we checked in, he was very friendly and gave great local recommendations. The yurt itself was clean, very cosy, nicely and cheerfully furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and had all the amenities listed. We greatly enjoyed the stay and would love to come back!

Magical Coastal Off-Grid Garden Yurt Retreat

RosieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had an amazing time at Fay’s yurt, both her and Jamie were super helpful and very friendly, they made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us on arrival while showing us around as well as giving us some tips of places to visit nearby. They were attentive and there to help us when we needed but also gave us privacy. The yurt itself is unreal, really clean and tidy with everything we needed inside and the log fire was great, made the place so cosy. The walled garden is absolutely beautiful and the 3 friendly goats were a real highlight for us, we went to see them every morning! The kitchen and bathroom areas were well stocked and clean, it was great to have access to them both and made our stay really comfortable. The surrounding areas are also stunning, a truly special place if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay. It’s well situated for visiting the places we wanted to go. We would love to go back, thank you for having us! ❤️

Crannoch Yurt with private hot tub

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic couple of days as a family. We particularly liked the hot tub, the swing over the water & fishing. None of our charger cables fitted into the USB sockets but it probably added to the experience of shutting off from everything. We look forward to returning again and staying in one of the other quirky huts and can hopefully manage to fit in a farm tour aswell 😊

Kinganton yurt, off grid yurt by the sea

AlineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our second stay in this little slice of yurt-heaven—and it won’t be our last! It’s become a bit of a hidden treasure for our family. The kids were in their element, I finally got to finish a book (miracles do happen!), and the beach just around the corner became our second living room. We were totally blessed with the weather, which only added to the magic. A few lovely little adventures exploring the area topped it all off. Huge thanks to Paul and Fiona—your yurt might actually be a time machine… because the days just melt away here! Highly recommend to anyone needing a peaceful, memory-making escape.
A spacious sleeping area is highlighted by a king-size bed adorned with a vibrant blue bedding set featuring marine designs. On either side, wooden nightstands with stylish lamps add functionality. Cozy seating is provided by dark chairs, complementing the warm wooden lattice of the yurt.

Rustic Yurt in Wild North Skye

MaxRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We loved it so much we extended our stay! Really can’t recommend it enough. Sophie is such a kind and thoughtful host — she put so much effort into countless little touches. The yurt is so beautiful, so cosy, comes with a sink, a really well equipped kitchenette, a proper toilet and shower. Only downside was we wanted to stay in the yurt instead of exploring Skye. Would love to be back one day.
The yurt entrance is framed by two large wooden doors, welcoming guests into a spacious interior. A decorative mat lies at the threshold, while a potted plant adds a touch of greenery. The exterior walls showcase a vibrant orange and green color scheme.

"Wych Elm" Deluxe Yurt at Marthrown of Mabie

VictoriaRating, 5 stars14 months ago
We were very excited to stay in a yurt and weren’t disappointed. The reviews which mention the warmth inside aren’t wrong; it is very toasty. We arrived in torrential rain so it felt like we were driving to the middle of nowhere but we found it with Mike’s instructions. He was there to greet us and go through the fire and where everything is. We had 4 beds and 1 bed is pulled out from underneath a single bed - that’s not what we were expecting but it didn’t matter. They’re comfy and clean. There is a lot provided in terms of cutlery, pans and tea/coffee. Everything you need is listed by Pam once you book. We had the hot tub booked but it broke the day before we arrived with the frost. We were gutted but still got to use the sauna. I’d recommend that just to experience the cold water bucket outside. Just do it. The shower is really hot and a nice experience over looking the hills. The composting toilet is a composting toilet…get used to is. There are lots of nearby walks to explore.

Juniper Yurt

JurgenRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The Black Isle Yurts are really in a very beautiful and special place in nature. With a beautiful view over the sea, the bay of Inverness, Fort George and the whole area. Jenny is a very nice host who is more thoughtful and helpful, has a nice offer and has designed the yurts and the overall facilities very stylish and beautiful. The yurts are a good distance away from each other giving a lot of privacy. It's a bit of a walk to the shower, but that's not a penalty in this beautiful area. You can also walk to the beach at the bottom of the cliff in a short walk where you make some altimeters. Really worth it!

Puffin Yurt - Traditional Mongolian Yurt

OJRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely brilliant time. We weren’t completely aware of the amount of ferries we needed to get and ended up arriving a couple of hours after the last ferry crossing to Ulva. Andy came over on his boat and picked us up! Top bloke. The Yurt was brilliant, the surrounds beautiful. We were left to our own devices and Andy had given other guests staying at the hostel a heads up about our privacy which was much appreciated. Ulva and the Isle of Mull are beautiful places and our stay was magic. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Ruth's Yurt

Beautiful, peaceful and tranquil. Not many places you can visit where all you can hear is the birds singing and the horses eating the grass. Lovely place for rest & recuperation. The compost toilet may be 'challenging' to some folk. All part of the charm. Thoroughly recommend.
A serene beach scene is captured at sunset, with golden hues reflecting on the wet sand. Gentle waves and footprints lead towards the horizon, where the sun sets behind rolling hills, creating a peaceful ambiance.

Gorgeous cosy yurt - sea views

KendallRating, 5 stars9 months ago
If you love nature and the environment, this is the place for you. Not only is the yurt surrounded by beauty, but it's clear the owners care deeply about maintaining, improving, and respecting the land around them. They have a strong ethos for reducing waste, not "fixing what's not broken", and being resourceful. The result is a unique, charming, and also functional space. Would definitely stay again!
