Cozy holiday idyll in the Thuringian Forest

My family and I live on the sunny outskirts of Waldau, directly in the beautiful Ansbachtal at the foot of the Thuringian Forest. A separate entrance leads you to your area of the house. The bright and newly renovated rooms invite you to relax. The forest is almost at your doorstep. It is only a few minutes by bike to the Ratscher mountain lake. The Goethe city of Ilmenau, the state capital of Erfurt or the Vestestadt of Coburg in neighboring Bavaria are easily accessible by highway.

Castle Johanniterburg Kühndorf - White House

In our flat in the White House we offer 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a large living-dining room. In the rooms there are 2 beds each, in the Künstlerzimmer 1 possibility of extra bed, in the Magnatenzimmer further 2. In the house is otherwise only a small village museum. The apartment is spacious and cozy, the rooms are furnished with antiques, but have new beds. All floors are wooden. The apartment is ideal for family and friend meetings.

Welcome to the Goethe and university town of Ilmenau, which is picturesquely located on the Ilm in the Thuringian Forest. Enjoy your stay in the green heart near the Rennsteig. Starting point for activities such as winter sports, hiking or cycling. Mountain bikers can use our new trail park or the downhill track. Erfurt, Weimar or Eisenach are always worth a visit with their sights and can be reached quickly by train or good highway connections.

Guest house on the Schleusehof... enjoy nature!

Our guest house (about 89 m) is located on our mini-farm, which we run as a hobby. The Schleusehof is idyllically located on a small river, where you can cool your feet on hot days. The house sleeps 4 people (2 adults + 2 children). On request, we also have a baby cot for the little ones. The farm offers space to romp and relax.
