Family-friendly vacation rentals in Scarborough State Beach

Had a great stay at this beautiful home! Plenty of space for our party and a lovely yard/outdoor space was a bonus. Convenient to many places to eat in Portsmouth/Newport and easy to get to/from.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was so very peaceful and we loved being literally right around n the water! Slept amazingly well and the cottage was just lovely! Robert was also a great host. 5 stars all around and we hope to return again!

Andrew was an excellent host and this was the perfect place for a family. We have been coming to Newport for years and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Highly recommend!

Had booked a girls getaway at Tracy and Patrick’s place and it was perfect, even with gloomy weather! The house perfectly matches all pictures and descriptions and has everything you’ll need and more for the perfect relaxing and fun getaway! We even got a cute surprise visit from their furry friends which is always loved!! There are also shops and beaches a short drive away, we just didn’t happen to go visit because we were enjoying our cozy time at the home. Thank you again Tracy and Patrick:) we would totally recommend and want to come back!

We always love going to this cottage. It’s our favorite. It’s actually one of our favorite places. To go a few times a year winter summer. We just spent memorial weekend there. A little doggies loved it. Home away from home so cozy. Bobby the host is wonderful. My daughter boyfriend came up and they absolutely loved it and my son came from Texas to spend one night. It was his first time there he loved it. We already planning on going back. Fantastic getaway. If you need to distress and want calmness. This is the place to come to. And the town of Mystic has great restaurants Like I said it’s our favorite place to come to and I’ve been to quite a few…. Just got home today and I’m seeing if I can book some sometime in October to go back we love it.

Linda was an absolutely delightful host. She was flexible on our arrival time, didn’t rush us out, and was available and engage for any needs throughout our stay. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable, and centrally located. Linda provided plenty of recommendations and was eager to ensure we had everything we might want. Highly recommend this spot for a dog, as our little guy was perfectly accommodated.

The house was perfect for our family. It was the cleanest AirBnB I have ever stayed at! The kitchen was well stocked of plates, utensils, and pot and pans for cooking meals, which really matters when renting an AirBnB with a kitchen. And there were ample amount of bath towels! It was also very comfortable to relax in after a long day. The driveway was a big bonus, as there is limited and rather expensive parking in town and permit only parking on most neighborhood streets in newport, RI. The neighborhood was very quaint and quiet, and was a minute walk to the center of town. This AirBnB really stands out for location, price and quality. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely spot for 2 families with young kids and dogs! Had gates at the stairs, a pack and play, and a high chair for baby. Super walkable location. Would come back!

This home is gorgeous and filled with timeless artifacts and family heirlooms. Beautiful spots to sit outside with a morning coffee. My partner and I made a point of staying in and cooking one night because we felt right at home and wanted to appreciate the ambiance. We enjoyed the privacy and proximity to Newport very much as well. Well outside any potential chaos of downtown yet only a couple minute drive to Easton Beach. Thank you so much!

I went with a group of girls and it was perfect for what we needed! It was so cute and spacious. It was too cold for us to utilize the roof top deck area but on a warm sunny day it would be perfect! There was plenty of room for all of us to get ready. All the bedrooms were big as well. The location was walkable to everything! Parking was great as well and easy. The host responded to all my questions very quickly. This was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at. I would definitely recommend!!!

We had an amazing stay at Kath's home in Middletown. Others have said -- this location is unbeatable! being right on the ocean with the sound of the waves and the views of the Cliff walk --- fantastic. The house is close to everything in newport (minutes) as well as all the beaches and also is incredibly comfortable and well equipped with anything you could want; Kath as a host was totally available for any questions we had. She produced beach chairs like magic and encouraged us to ask for what we needed at anytime. It is a privilege to be able to share some of the magic of this location. If we are able we will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay in the farmhouse! We were in the area for our daughter’s wedding and the house was perfectly located between Narragansett and the wedding venue. This house really is a charming old farmhouse, and is surrounded by a beautiful garden and a well tended level lawn. There are no visible neighbors and it’s very quiet at night. The weather was unseasonably chilly and wet but heaters in the house took the edge off and we were very comfortable. The beds were comfortable too. The host Mackenzie was responsive and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This place was beautiful! The kitchen was spacious and accommodated our larger group nicely. Hosts left clear instructions and proactively checked in. They were even nice enough to open their pool a little earlier so we could enjoy it. Highly recommend staying here if you are planning a girls’ weekend. Bedrooms were comfy, and everyone in my group had a lovely time. Thank you!

This home is better than the pictures!!! The backyard was stunning and perfectly maintained. The inside was spacious and clean. Tricia was quick to respond and incredibly accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and would 100% return + recommend to anyone!

Kristin went above and beyond in making sure me and my guests were well taken care of. She was extremely responsive and even let me come 7 hours before my check in to drop off my birthday cake in the fridge so it didn’t have to sit in a cooler all day at the beach. She gave me local recommendations and was just a really lovely host. I really appreciated her accommodations. My friends and I enjoyed swimming in the pool after the beach and sitting on the deck. Highly recommend!

Galen and Clark were so nice and have a wonderful home and it was clear to us that they loved to take care of it. Very beautiful. Galen was very proactive in making sure we had everything we needed and communicated every day. I really appreciate them being so flexible when I added two guests at the last minute for the wedding we attended just a mile up the road. It was our first time experiencing Airbnb and it was great!! We stayed for Folkfest. Close to the ferry to Fort Adams, walkable to many restaurants and bars. Andrew was a very responsive host. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Andrew!
