Cabin vacation rentals in Sawyer County

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautifully remodeled cabin on Lake Winter, and I can't recommend it enough! The cabin features an abundance of windows, creating a wonderful feeling of being surrounded by nature. At night, the lights streaming through the trees added a magical touch to the atmosphere. One of the standout features was the heated floors in the bathroom, which were a delightful surprise! Eric, the host, was incredibly responsive and communicated quickly. He provided excellent recommendations for local dining and amenities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend planning a visit to this stunning cabin. It’s the perfect getaway!

Ben’s home was very clean, beautiful and comfortable. Ben is a very good host as he is proactive and gives clear instructions that leaves you with no questions ! Plenty of activities and a very reasonable price.

Had a great time connecting with the family. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Right on a lake which the older kids/young adults enjoyed during our winter visit.

Lisa was great to work with very accommodating and helpful with current local events. Great location for trail riding and taking in the beautiful fall colors!

Highly recommend this cabin! We wanted a spacious cabin for a getaway with friends where we could cook, eat together and relax and this was so perfect. The kitchen is amazing, the hot tub was a lovely perk, there was more than enough room. When we had some issues getting up the icy winding driveway the host came to help us in person, above and beyond friendliness and support.

Beautiful place in a secluded area on Moose Lake. We were there in winter and it was so quiet and peaceful. Nice newer-built lake cabin. All the basic necessities, including internet. Small, simple kitchen (no dishwasher). No laundry. Internet. TV. Nice wood-burning fireplace! Comfortable for one or two couples and two small kids with its three sleeping areas. Would rent again.

The cabin is quaint and peaceful. The river views are amazing. There is a cute bar/restaurant with great food and drinks. The owners are nice and very helpful. Definitely won’t be disappointed staying at the resort.

This was a great place to help us focus up on a Bike Race in the area, if you are looking for a tranquil time, you found it.

Clare and Chris have simply raised the bar of what we will expect from future AirBnb rentals. Clean, organized,welcoming, responsive, ideal rental owners. They let us in early, and had no issues with us staying late so we could minimize make memories during some rare warmth of late October. The sunrises on Sand Lake are spectacular, the bike trails nearby were great, but most of all the ease of walking into an immaculate home made us feel at home from the start. We can’t wait to go back!

Lovely cottage, nicely updated and super-clean! We loved the east-facing deck overlooking the lake - the sunrises (and moon-rises) were beautiful during our stay, and the large private lot surrounded by trees offered lots of space for us to walk our dogs. The cottage was very well-equipped for our 10-day stay, and it's an easy drive into town for groceries, restaurants, and shopping. Gregg, our host, was wonderful to deal with and very responsive. We will definitely book again next time we vacation in Hayward!

We really enjoyed our stay at Back O Beyond. The cabin was much bigger than we anticipated and very clean. The lake was beautiful, quiet and we had a nice sandy shoreline right in front of our cabin. I really enjoyed kayaking around the islands without worrying about water skiers and jet skis running me over. The fishing was awesome, I caught a 46 inch musky! The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Nelson Lake is great for boating and we explored Hayward as well, including Tamarack Winery, shops downtown and thrifting. Many thanks to your responsiveness to messages before and during our stay, Dan-you truly made us feel at home. There’s not a single thing we would change…except maybe to have stayed longer! We will definitely be back again!

Derrick was very responsive and proactive to our requests. He gave us great recommendations of things to do in the area and quickly responded to any questions.

I was more than happy with my stay- hosts were easy to communicate with. The house was very comfortable, quiet surrounding area- definitely recommend taking a hike in the AM!

We enjoyed our stay! The listing did not match the cabin in terms of total number of beds/bedrooms, but Cassy worked with us to make up for that mistake. Make sure you know which cabin number you are staying in before arriving. The cell service was a bit limited on site making our arrival a little tricky. Otherwise, the place was cozy and met our needs for a nice weekend. Thank you!

What a great property, especially with larger groups. Our group of 6 is perfect, we’ve all got our own place. Stacy is phenomenal at communicating and answering any questions/etc. Now I’m crossing my fingers they’ll start to allow pets so I can book it for two separate trips each season!!

We enjoyed a winter getaway at this beautiful cabin on Lake Placid. Cozy and comfortable for 8. The view out the living room is incredible. You'll have a hard time finding a better rental in Northern Wisconsin. Caught 7 Norther Pike and a nice size Bass ice fishing. We enjoyed the wood fired Sauna, and cooled off in the near zero temp outside. Thanks for a wonderful winter weekend Kelly!
