Family-friendly vacation rentals in Saugatuck

Excellent location!! Perfectly in between the beach and downtown. It would have been nice to utilize the chain ferry to walk to restaurants/shops, but since we stayed prior to it being open for the season, it was just a short scenic drive to get there as well!

Such a cute home. Right across the road from the Warren dunes. Easy to get back and forth with a bicycle. The cutest little ice cream shop right next door. Bed was comfortable and the bunk beds are roomy. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our 3rd year in a row to come for an extended Labor Day weekend and bring our kids and/or grandkids. We love the setting. The pool is perfect for the younger kids and the adults appreciate the beauty of all the surroundings, including at poolside. If we could change anything at all we would add another bedroom as we can't quite get all of our extended family here at one time. That said, we would like to return for a 4th year at Labor Day weekend time next year. The combination of beauty, privacy, amenities, condition (always in great shape!), and proximity to lovely South Haven can hardly be beat!

Jennifer’s home was absolutely amazing—beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared in every way. It was the perfect place for our family getaway. The kids had an incredible time and are still talking about all the fun they had. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. This was a very private location, great for a getaway. the home was quaint, not suitable for a large family, we have 5 kids but went alone on this trip and doubt our whole family would fit. the pool house was small but we didn't use it. If you want to use the bathtub upstairs, there's little to no hot water that reaches that bathtub for some reason. But it does reach downstairs so we used that one. all in all, it worked for our needs.

This is the second year I rented this place for my birthday weekend away with friends. The house has so many accommodations for sleeping and different sitting areas. However, the main event is the kitchen. My friends and I love to cook and that's why we came back a second year in a row. The kitchen is unbelievably well-stocked with anything you might need to cook. There are multiple sinks so someone can be cooking while someone else cleans. The layout is perfect for people to hang out with whoever is cooking. There are two ovens. It is a dream. The house feels comfortable and lived-in, and it feels like there has been a lot of thought and intention focused on the user-experience. Cannot say enough nice stuff about this house, cannot recommend enough. Will be coming back for my 29 birthday.

The loft was absolutely perfect! Everything was so clean! The beds were extremely comfortable! The amenities were over the top! Without a doubt, the best Airbnb experience I have ever had! Even in the instruction book, the host mentioned that they supplied disposable earplugs only because the loft is right in downtown Holland on eighth Street. They thought of everything!!! we absolutely loved the history and the music theme of the place! 10/10 without a doubt!! We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful property!! We loved the privacy and enjoyed the surroundings. The hottub was a definite perk! Had a great time and hope to come back soon!

We had a great time with our family and dogs. The backyard was perfect and we had so much fun around the fire and hot tub. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again next year!

Peaceful getaway on Macatawa Bay in a gorgeous and very spacious house. Full of great equipment. Ideal location and the view on the Marina is stunning.

Very peaceful to stay put here--bring what you need and stay in these beautiful surroundings among birds and gardens and an art-filled home. Or spend time on nearby beaches and trails, wander the nearby small-town shops and nice variety of restaurants and look forward to a hot tub soak and campfire. Donna's home is welcoming and inspiring!

This place was exactly as advertised! A very cozy getaway minutes from south haven. As advertised, the dune walk to the lake was tough but my 4 year old managed it so it’s not so bad- but need to watch out for others on atvs. The private beach was great, we hardly saw anyone else. If you have kids this was a great place- so many toys, hangout spots, games, etc. they really went out of their way to make sure you are never bored! Even my MIL who is not easily impressed was talking the place up after! 🤣

This was our first time staying at the Palmer House. We are a family of 4 with two young children and traveled with another family of the same size. They provided a pack n play and high chair which was very helpful. Sean was incredibly responsive as a host as well. We loved the convenient location to downtown Saugatuck so that we could walk and pick up food for the parents while we made dinner at home and also easily walk to get treats afterwards. Very easy to drive to oval beach, which was our main activity each day. We stayed during a very hot weekend (90 degrees+). The AC was more effective on the first floor than the 2nd, but one of the upstairs children's room had a window AC unit which was much appreciated and the other two upstair rooms had extra fans. We would definitely stay here again.

Third stay in two weeks. Everything about the cottage and grounds is perfect and I am already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Always love staying at Happy Z’s! The house is very clean and it’s just a short walk to a neighborhood beach and a 5 minute drive to downtown. Great location. Cheryl is a wonderful host.

Kristi was very sweet. My family and I came and spent 3 days and 2 nights at her cabin for my birthday. Even though the experience wasn’t the best for me because I ended up sick the whole time, Kristi went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and do whatever she could to make our stay the best, such as offering us a ride down to the beach so we wouldn’t have to walk since I was sick. Her home was amazing as well and peaceful. Thank you so much!

I got to see Great Blue Heron parents and their 2 fuzzy offspring casually walk across the grounds. I am too old and arthritic to climb to the spacious loft, but sleeping on the sofa was just fine. Clean and fresh.

Had such a great time with family at your beautiful home. Perfect space for a weekend away.
