You will stay in one of our four studio-style 2-person cottages. They range from 30 to 36 square meters in size and feature different decoration. You can choose to have one large double bed or two single beds in your cottage. Please state at the time of booking which one you require.

The house is well located behind the church in the old town of Sauðárkrókur, just off the Main Street where you will find various services such as bakeries, restaurants, museums. Swimming pool is within walking distance. Just off the house is the church path that takes you up to the Nafs above the town with views of the fjord and the islands. It is a short walk down to the marina and funicular.

Eyri seaside houses is a cozy, warm and brand new guesthouse with a great ocean view, located on our small horse farm. We are located at Hvammstangi but still super private and the only thing you see from the apartments are the ocean and landscape. There are a lot of birds at the beach and there is even a chance that you will see some seals. Every now and then we get some whales in the fjord but it has to be your lucky day to see them.

Clean, simple accommodation. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings, far from the hustle and bustle with lots of nature. We felt comfortable.

The private bathroom features wooden paneling throughout, with a compact sink and mirror above it. Essential amenities are visible, including a toilet and toilet paper. A shelf unit is positioned nearby for storage. Natural light enters the space, enhancing its warm ambiance.

Such a beautiful and private location. We thought the cabin was very homely and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay very much! The only suggestion I’d make is to amend the listing to say it has an oven as opposed to a microwave, because we brought food to microwave thinking that’s the option we had. Such a great place though and we would definitely stay again 😊

this cabin is a recent build in a stunning location and nicely staged. the beds were comfortable and the linens all high end. the small kitchenette is suitable for very light meals, i.e. soup and sandwiches. a very lovely cabin in a peaceful setting. .

A computer glitch deleted our original pre-paid booking at a place which we reserved 5 months prior in Blönduós, and we were scrambling to find lodging. Fortunately, Gunnar was able to accommodate us last-minute at his recently renovated historical home in Sauðárkrókur. The kitchen has modern appliances and the twin mattresses were high quality and comfortable. The house is located walking distance from local restaurants and I enjoyed looking at the fjord from the windows.

The pictures don't describe how beautiful Larus' place is. The cabin is bigger and more accommodating then the pictures show. More importantly, he is kind and generous. It's a gem well worth visiting. with that said, after the paved road ends you drive a few easy miles to his place, any car can do it, our hybrid did no problem!
