Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Sassi di Matera

Would recommend Anna’s place. It was extremely clean and I think every day she comes at midday to make the place look perfect. We had the place to ourselves which was even better value. Anna doesn’t stay there herself. Breakfast is simple but does the job and everything is a short walk away. Also appreciated a spacious secure car park!!

Amazing and atmospheric rooms in a great location in the old town of matera. Domenica was the most attentive and friendly Airbnb host I’ve ever had! She gave us a great introduction to matera, explaining all the things to do and see and where to eat. She also helped out with organising bookings for restaurants, car parking and shuttles

The house in a very convenient spot, very close to the central city square. All of the city accessible on foot. The house was clean, everything tidy, with kitchen utensils, and everything necessary for a coffee or cooking for anyone who wants to. The owner was very kind, gave information about the area, cared if everything was okay, and I knew he would be available if anything comes up. Everything was very nice, excellent stay and good value for money. The interior of the house with interesting architecture of local stone and a well inside the bedroom. Everything was very beautiful. Because it was August there was a little noise from passers-by at night without being intrusive.

I just spent an unforgettable weekend in Matera, staying in a wonderful B&B immersed in the beautiful Murgia, and I can't wait to go back! The property, an ancient tannery expertly renovated, is a perfect balance between history and modern comfort. Every corner tells a story, with details that make you feel part of the tradition of this enchanting corner of Basilicata. The atmosphere you can breathe is unique, quiet and immersed in nature, a real retreat to regenerate. The room was cozy, elegant and equipped with every comfort, but what impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the harmony with the surrounding environment. Breakfast prepared with fresh ingredients and typical of the area, authentic flavors that make you appreciate the beauty of the area even more. The hospitality was impeccable, Martino was super helpful, always ready to offer advice on what to see and do nearby. I'll definitely be back in the summer.

Very good night spent at the BnB Duca Orsini in Gravina in Puglia. Great location to enjoy the old town

We had a wonderful stay at Luciana, everything was as expected and more! The room is very spacious and clean, you are in the heart of Matera with stunning view from the balcony and walking distances to all main attractions/restaurants. Breakfast excellent, served on the balcony. And as for walking, Luciana explained to us each part of the old town on a map, so we don’t miss anything :). Also helped a lot before arriving with bus schedules and tips. There are a lot to say, but we felt like being home, in a wonderful place.
