House vacation rentals in Santa Elena

We loved this villa! Would be the perfect honeymoon spot though our family of 6 felt right at home, too. It’s a group of villas professionally managed with staff on site, but still felt very private and comfortable. The villas all face a fenced in courtyard (Casa Blanca vibes) though we only saw one other group one time. They provided a water cooler with big blue jugs of water that was invaluable with all the hiking we did in the area. We even ran out and one quick message and they replaced it within 10 minutes. The whole villa was very clean, updated, and had everything we needed. Can’t recommend it enough! We’re staying in Hopkins now and I can already tell our San Ignacio stay is going to be hard to beat.

Our family had a great stay at Vanilla Hills. Claudia was so helpful in booking excursions and transportation. We didn’t rent a car and found it easy to get taxis to and from the resort into town. The restaurant was amazing and the staff was very accommodating with our 5 year old daughters special menu requests. We loved the tranquility and would definitely stay here again if we return to San Ignacio.

Great quiet and off the beaten path place! Pool area was out of this world! Jay recommended a local chef to come and prepare dinner for my wife’s birthday, and that worked out great! The property was very large and secure with a locked gate. A local herd of Brahman cows strolled down the road every afternoon to find greener grass I think. The road to Jay’s was a little bumpy but I understand it was primarily due to the recent heavy rains, but they were actively repairing it during our stay.

What an excellent home base for exploring the interior of Belize! Easy access to Belize Zoo, ArtBox, and Guanacaste National Park, and only an hour from San Ignacio/Xunantunich. Daniel’s place is in a controlled-access neighborhood and felt very safe, considering we were 5 women traveling on our own. Beautiful home, well stocked and with amenities like a water dispenser on the fridge and a dishwasher. The pool was cleaned the evening we got there and felt so good after a day of exploring. There are some large dogs in the area that may wander into the yard but they didn’t bother us. We saw toucans and hummingbirds right from the yard. Highly recommend!

Las Haciendas was everything our group could have imagined and more. We rented all six Villas, so our group of 13 each had our own space. The villas were clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Leda arranged transportation to the villa, excursions, transportation to dinners and anything else we needed! She had wonderful recommendations as well. She was very quick to respond before the trip, as well as while we were there. We were greeted with cool towels and all our luggage was taken care of the minute we got there until leaving the last day. The water coolers were a great perk and the plunge pools allowed us to chill after a long excursion day. It was walkable to Cachal Ruins as an extra afternoon trip. I would HIGHLY recommend Las Haciendas for your group stay while in San Ignacio!!!

Oskar and his wife were gracious hosts. The pool was perfect and my children loved the grounds, especially learning about all the fruit they were growing. The unit was as described and very comfortable, clean and kitchen stocked very nicely with all the utensils you might need. We very much enjoyed our stay and it was in a perfect location close to all the adventures we wanted to do. Oskar provided great recommendations and he takes care of the unit so well. Wonderful host and place.

Laura's villa is gorgeous and so comfortable. She thinks of everything you need to make your stay in San Ignacio lovely!

This was the perfect spot for my trip to Belize, close to my friends home and a walkable distance to two shops for food or misc items. I was greeted in person by the caregiver and provided keys. Note, house numbers in Belize are not consistent, this is more identifiable as 5 (not 525 as listed). The caretaker was easy to reach via What’s App with any needs. He also was kind enough to walk me over to my friends house after checking out with my baggage. (Thank you Mr. Marshall!) The bed was large and comfortable. I also enjoyed reading on the couch when it got too hot outside. The TV has access to streaming services. The AC did not work well the first night, but when I notified the caregiver of an issue he had a tech come out the next day. I would recommend staying here- in fact, I gave the information to my friend so that she can have other guests stay here when they visit her in Belmopan. Thank you Rasaanh and Mr. Marshall!

Jungle vibes, banana muffins, and fascinating stories! We had a fantastic stay at Dalena and Steve’s San Ignacio, Belize home! The stylish jungle-themed interior was cozy and well-equipped, with plenty of hot water, clean bedding, fresh towels, and even banana muffins in the morning. We also loved hearing their fascinating stories about biology, ecology, and the creation of the Museum of Natural History in Belize. Dalena provides a comprehensive guide to local dining, adventure and cultural tours, taxi services, and more. The house is only a 15-minute walk from coffee shops, restaurants, and tour offices. At night, we enjoyed walking a few blocks to the local grocery store for carbonated water before heading to bed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend their place to anyone visiting Belize! Thanks, Dalena and Steve!

We all loved the place , place was very clean , cozy , honestly felt like home , we would definitely do it all over again , lovely quiet , tranquil place .

I was initially hesitant to book at Rosie's place because it's in a Village, but it exceeded my expectations. It's not far from the capital city Belmopan. The drive to Xunantunich took us about 50 mins max, all other attractions were in a driving distance. The area is peaceful and quiet, with an electric gate and security cameras for peace of mind. The house is incredibly welcoming, and the kitchen is fully equipped for meal prep, plus a washer and dryer for added convenience. The host, Silvia, was warm and kind, greeting us with a fruit basket. Thank you, Silvia and Rosie, for a wonderful stay! I highly recommend Rosie's place—it's worth every penny, and I’ll definitely return.

I came to stay at Luis' place with my husband and our three daughters during the second COVID wave in Belize. We stayed for a full month and Luis was extremely accomodating. Responded quickly to any concerns my husband had and was SO NICE when we had to tell him about a few plates and cups we had broken (over a month teenagers get clumsy!) The air conditioners work great. The kitchen has everything you need. We went on several large grocery runs but stayed locked down in the house most of the time. Some time away was just what we needed during this crisis and considering how much cheaper groceries and vegetables are in San Ignacio, compared to our home in Placencia, we actually SAVED money going on this trip. Thank you for everything, Luis! We will see you again!

Great stay with plenty of parking in downtown San Ignacio

Our visit to belize couldn’t have been more perfect due to kaylyyns place. We were blown away on how beautiful it was. It was the perfect location for us about 30 mins away from belmopan and 5 mins to spanish lookouts restaurants and market. The location was well taken care and breath taking with natural beauty. The home is well taken care of and most importantly to us CLEAN. Everything you can imagine is at your finger tips. She even had purified water for us upon arrival and was refilled a week later. She was super responsive and accommodating. If you’re looking to rent in this area don’t look any further you won’t be disappointed. We will 100% be recommending her home to our family and friends as we were only about 20 mins away from our family in belize.

We (family with 2 teens) really enjoyed our stay. The house is very beautiful inside. Parking was convenient. The set up with the main bedroom and bath on the first floor and second bedroom and bath on the upper floor suited our family well. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. We did note that the breakfast bar stools are regular height, so we felt like kids lol. The seating area is a bit limited with only a love seat and we would have like to have been able to hang out together. There are a couple of very noisy (2am) rooster, we would recommend a white noise machine if you come. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely book again.

Jameli’s house was great for our four day stay. You can walk down the hill and be into the heart of San Ignacio within a few minutes. Directly across the street from the house is a very nice hotel (where the Queen of Emgland has stayed) with a lovely restaurant and Iguana sanctuary. Jameli’s house has a housekeeper, Juan, who lives on premises and is very kind and responsive to any need you may have during your stay. We did guided tours for cave tubing, zip lining, bird watching, and Mayan ruins and each time the guides were at the house waiting for us at the promised departure time. Bugs were not an issue for us in April. There is no oven, stovetop, or dishwasher at the house but we made do with the toaster oven and electric griddle. The on-site laundry in each unit was great! Walk-in showers were a treat! Will hopefully be back again someday!

Wow! The pictures are outstanding but nothing compares to seeing Kane Villas in person! We were blown away. The grounds are amazing and immaculately maintained. We rented all 3 villas for our family and enjoyed having the space and privacy. Catherine is an excellent host with outstanding communication, proactive directions and recommendations .Our only regret is we did not stay longer. Do not hesitate to book Kane Villas.

It was a beautiful home, very accommodating and comfortable. It was really clean. It was just right.

We had a great stay, was one of the best looking places in San Ignacio and even then exceeded expectations. The rooms were the cleanest we found in 10 days in Belize and the back porch/hammock area was a great communal space.

We had a wonderful stay at La Haciendas! Perfect for our family with young kids, and the roof top soaking pool was a perfect way to end the day and unwind! A private courtyard was a great place for the kids to stretch their legs and work out their energy without feeling like they might run off somewhere unexpectedly. The team was super responsive and very professional. This is a very well done Airbnb, with hotel level service. We will certainly book again when come back to San Ignacio. Of note, we did have a car, so getting to the town center was easy, but it would be a trek if you wanted to walk. It looked like they had a great spa menu, and they are able to arrange trips on your behalf. We didn’t utilize the services as we wanted more flexibility with the kids, but la Haciendas would be perfect for a guys or girls trip! Much thanks to the team for a fantastic stay!
