This is a truly spectacular oasis on the lake. The views are incredible and the property is so serene, surrounded by wonderful gardens and amazing bird watching. The casita is well appointed with most everything you might need. Also important to note that it’s in a remote part of Santa Cruz so you must trek to the village for any food / resources. But don’t let that deter you! It’s a spectacular retreat nestled in the hillside.

Beautiful house right on the lake, bedrooms were very comfortable. I liked having the kitchen and lounge open air as that’s where I want to be when at the lake. We enjoyed the dogs, the friendly old cat and all the birds. Tons of flowers. Elaine was very helpful with trail info and a boat contact. We didn’t end up kayaking this time but you’re perfectly situated to do so.

The house is very beautiful. A lovely design and filled with beautiful touches and artwork. An amazing view off the veranda, and the gardens are relaxing and full of birds. We all enjoyed the clean pool very much too. Overall it was an amazing place to relax and recharge. There is a walk up to the local village of Santa Clara or tuk tuks to take you up the hill, and the village has a produce market on Saturdays. We also recommend CECAP for great meals with the best view, as well as fair trade traditional handicrafts. It was easy to get a boat at the public dock. It’s probably easiest to arrange your own driver and boat to the private dock as then it’s easy to contact them if they do not turn up or know where to go (problems we had through no fault of the host). Definitely shop in Pana as the shops are very small in Santa Clara. Be aware it was hazy every day for 6 days and apparently this is common in April (or other months too?) because of cane burning. The best thing about the apartment is the view of the lake. It is located on the 10th level. The photos on the page are real. A very good location, it has parking, access to the pool, Jacuzzi and the hotel beach. Close to the Atitlan Reserve and other hotels that provide restaurant service, the town of Panajachel is a 5-minute drive away. Glenda met our needs, easy check-in and check-out.

We had a fabulous stay at Xenia's, and the staff at the house was super accomodating and professional. The house itself was spacious and well-equipped, and really felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed the large grounds and garden and had a wonderful time with our family in this home. We enjoyed the location in the busy town of Panajachel. It is a few blocks up from the market, which is quieter while still being accessible and walkable to the main busy points in town. Highly recommend!!

We had the best stay at Rafael’s place. The location is unreal - directly on the lake with the most gorgeous views of the two volcanos! It’s a 15 min walk into the main Santa Cruz town along the water’s edge. We were able to wave down lanchas (the public ferries) to come straight to the port out the front of the house, which was convenient. The house itself felt very homey, exactly what we needed for our group of 6 friends. We did a big shop in panajachel and cooked big feasts every night in the kitchen, which was well equipped. Would highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to relax and soak up those insane lake views!

This is a spacious clean place in a central Location only steps away from restaurants, and the public boats which is key to visiting the other areas around Lake Atitlan. I would stay here again,

Beautiful place to rest and enjoy. Removed from all noise perfect for relaxing and connecting with nature. Immediate response to any questions or needs. We loved the cabin! If we were cold at night despite being in the summer, but very rich weather in the day and cold at night. We were able to make a bonfire at night where we were attended very well.
