This is a truly spectacular oasis on the lake. The views are incredible and the property is so serene, surrounded by wonderful gardens and amazing bird watching. The casita is well appointed with most everything you might need. Also important to note that it’s in a remote part of Santa Cruz so you must trek to the village for any food / resources. But don’t let that deter you! It’s a spectacular retreat nestled in the hillside.

Beautiful house right on the lake, bedrooms were very comfortable. I liked having the kitchen and lounge open air as that’s where I want to be when at the lake. We enjoyed the dogs, the friendly old cat and all the birds. Tons of flowers. Elaine was very helpful with trail info and a boat contact. We didn’t end up kayaking this time but you’re perfectly situated to do so.

Exquisite home with pool on estate

The house is very beautiful. A lovely design and filled with beautiful touches and artwork. An amazing view off the veranda, and the gardens are relaxing and full of birds. We all enjoyed the clean pool very much too. Overall it was an amazing place to relax and recharge. There is a walk up to the local village of Santa Clara or tuk tuks to take you up the hill, and the village has a produce market on Saturdays. We also recommend CECAP for great meals with the best view, as well as fair trade traditional handicrafts. It was easy to get a boat at the public dock. It’s probably easiest to arrange your own driver and boat to the private dock as then it’s easy to contact them if they do not turn up or know where to go (problems we had through no fault of the host). Definitely shop in Pana as the shops are very small in Santa Clara. Be aware it was hazy every day for 6 days and apparently this is common in April (or other months too?) because of cane burning. Desde el momento en que llegamos, el lugar nos hizo sentir como en casa. Nos sentimos tan cómodos que decidimos extender nuestra estadía un día más para seguir disfrutando de las amenidades del lugar y la vista de Panajachel. Silvia siempre estuvo pendiente de que tuviéramos todo lo que necesitábamos, lo que hizo que nuestra experiencia fuera aún más agradable. Sin duda, esperamos regresar pronto para seguir disfrutando de este rincón tan especial.

5 minute walk to Calle Santander and an extra few minutes to the lake. I could not have asked for a better location. Spacious enough for 4 of us (3 adults, 1 kid). Home was clean and welcoming. Had a small kitchen, sink and fridge that came in handy. Host was very communicative and helpful. Would come back and stay here in a heartbeat.

Lo mejor del apartamento, es la vista del lago, esta ubicado en el 10mo. nivel, las fotos de la página son reales, muy buena ubicación, tiene parqueo, acceso a la piscina, Jacuzzi y la playa del hotel. Cerca de la Reserva de Atitlan y de otros hoteles que brindan el servicio de Restaurante, el pueblo Panajachel esta a 5 minutos en vehiculo. Glenda atendío nuestro requerimiento, fácil check in y check out.

Belle maison dehors Panajachel centre. si vous recherchez de la tranquillité c'est le lieu idéal. il y'a un chien super mignon et calme que nous avons adoré ! tous les jours il y a autour de deux a trois personnes qui viennent faire le ménage et le jardin, à prendre en compte si vous aimez la discrétion. De notre côté, c'était bien utile. La maison est belle et décorée qvec beaucoup du gout. Nous n'avons pas eu d'eau chaude pendant deux jours car il y avait pas du gas, mais dès que on la annoncé, c'était résolu. donc le perdonné est très réactif. nous avons aimé notre temps dans cette maison et nous recommendons pour un beau séjour en famille! sans doute on va retourner !

We had the best stay at Rafael’s place. The location is unreal - directly on the lake with the most gorgeous views of the two volcanos! It’s a 15 min walk into the main Santa Cruz town along the water’s edge. We were able to wave down lanchas (the public ferries) to come straight to the port out the front of the house, which was convenient. The house itself felt very homey, exactly what we needed for our group of 6 friends. We did a big shop in panajachel and cooked big feasts every night in the kitchen, which was well equipped. Would highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to relax and soak up those insane lake views!

Great place for big families, host’s attention was awesome and always ready to help us. Had some issues either the hot water but she helped us fix it. The stove ran out of gas but she arrived within 20 minutes with new tank. Loved the stay for me and my fam!
